Nope, its a traxxas stampede with a nice body on it. My sons is not a shelf queen, will never be concourse as it has a hobbywing sc10 and 4000kv motor in it not the stock titan 12t and xl5. It moves.

Guess i'll be on my P's for a while yet..... lower rear suspension arm totaled with the 4mm hinge pin ripped 3/4s out & bent.

Have replaced & no other damage. These are well thought out & put together.

If you dont break it you arent doing it properly.
My best was all 4 axles after doing a backflip off a wall.

Oopsie!

What are your thoughts on alloy suspension arms! or are the stock composite ones better, by having some flex in them?

I would stick to factory arms mainly because they are cheap and easy to change. The main disadvantage to beefing up some parts is that it can move the failure point up the line to more expensive and fiddly parts.

Yeah lots of temptations.... that combo for 4 is about what 2 stockies cost.

While waiting on parts i did a little body reinforcing.... fibreglass gauze & Shoe Goo , all the way around the bottom & across where the shell mounts.

Also zip tied some 6mm comp. tubing the full length across & under the mounts.
Instead of packing foam in the mount, i've supported that tube with a small piece of fuel hose in the middle running North South.

Also want to sort stopping stones going through the fans...

The soft rubber on the front bumper body area, is now curved either end, to prevent the tyre contacting & pulling it out that ive seen happen.

Well, im just talking steering components on my monster truck.
Snapped a couple c hubs, so got ally ones. Then the faulure point moved to knuckles, got ally ones. Then it started to bend the steering links, got ally ones. Then the servo saver and bell crank copped it, so got ally ones. Then the servo link snapped, got an ally one. Now the ears to mount the servo periodically snap off, rendering perfectly operation power HD 23kg servos useless.

Yep they drift great, get the inside front up & then fly off like a slingshot.

Went to the local small town footy oval to try grass, but they were mowing, so moved on to the Bowls club car park. Lots of new estates going in, so will keep an eye on them.
Have plenty of room on my small acreage, but when dry its very sandy clay & dont like it & stones getting into the ESC.

Am currently doing the scab dance, with a Ebay seller to get one of those net bag covers, to keep most of the **** out.
