DRLs can look classy or they can look dodgy as I like these ones (and the ones on the Territory) because they have a diffused lens on them, the ones without the diffused lens (where you can see each spot of LEDs) look cheap and nasty Also the reason why im excited about DRLs is because im from the lighting industry, but as i said each to their own |

Interesting presentation and well, the products we're going to be greeted with are going to be interesting to say the least. Exciting times. The Everest SUV, can't say I am a fan of the style but I am sure it'll sell well.
Falcon snippets look intriguing..could it be that Ford AU finally pulled their thumb out of the proverbial? I will reserve judgement until the final reveal but it looks positive. Though it may have too much technology for some here I don't mind DRLs as long as they are integrated well. Audi set the precedence and continue to do it right, Lexus show how it shouldn't be done. The sneak peak of the Ford look to be done right.

I liked the execution on Everest. It did have a lot of Ranger in it but far better executed than the Colorado that looks like it's had a canopy slapped on and glassed to the rear end. I'm certainly not anti-Holden in any way shape or form, but slapdash is slapdash.

Cars for the boring motoring public I say ( that's fords market now)
Australian heart, soul and bloodline is gone The mustang is the only car I can connect with but who knows how that is going to be priced I couldn't care if the focus can do 400 meters in 10 seconds I dont want a hotted up pregnant roller skate My opinion only of course |

Very American. The grille in the concept rendering look alot better. More subtle, more like the Territory grille. http://www.caradvice.com.au/246126/f...cept-revealed/ |

Anyone notice how the Falcon's Ford badge on the front is now on the front edge of bonnet - not in the grille anymore...interesting change.
Hope they bring back Blueprint or Breeze for 2014!!! |

Always love when you go to look at a positive thread like this and there is always the same knuckle dragging muppets that just love to drag the ford badge through mud.
Due to work, I was not able to see the show (yet), but having a look at various pages on the net (and after filtering the garbage in this very thread) I see that Ford have done a exceptional job...for a company with "crap" marketing. The Ranger, next Mondeo, Mustang and of course, the 2014 falcon, plus the truck load of new feature across the range of cars, all show that the Ford range is solid, focused sales attacker... Go Ford!

I can't really see the point of this show. Basically everything was already on sale or close to being on sale, bar the Everest, which looked tough imo. They have done very well designing that. Everyone already knew the Mustang was coming, so beyond that what of the supposed 30% increase in models??????
What about the other stuff thats coming? Falcon headlights and lower fog surrounds look good, hopefully I can get a look at one of the prototypes when they get built soon. |

The LED strips within the headlamps aren't the only surprise in there. There is a damn fine touch in there, and it will be a pity that they've gone to this degree of detail, to see it go soon after! Can't say more than that. |

Will be interesting whether people can wait 12 months for the new Falcon. I'm after a new car, but don't know if I can wait 12 months for the new Falcon, as much as it looks like the goods. Looking at a 2nd hand GS most likely

I'm prepared to wait, but then again I have the luxury of being able to wait, and I don't intend to get one of the first ones anyway.

Can you please explain why you can't wait? As you can see from my sig, Falcons last a long time. Why can't you wait? I hope it doesn't have anything to do with leasing?

EDIT: ok so there are a couple of stills...but CGI? Either way its going to be HOT. Might have to delay the 7 seater purchase and get a XR6T..last aussie Falcon with a proper Aussie engine. RIP. The rest of the range is nice but there is no emotion with it so if I was ever to look at buying something its fair game with the rest of the market. We know the Mustang is going to be sweet..fine...we know all the little cars are already good so whatever comes is great...Commercials? Really? Everest I dont personally like the styling but I can see it doing well. Just wanted to see the god damn Falcon put in the spotlight like it deserves. Like others its such a shame that arguably the best version yet is the finale! The FG's issue is that unless you got an XR or G series it was rather conservative. Even then both of those are pretty bland when you look at the new design themes. But due to economics and not being part of the global scene the Falcon was always going to be left behind. These days, and surely its always been that way, a car will make or break on styling alone. And can the female genital members please stop sooking about people who might express a different opinion that those of the ones with blue foggy glasses. We all love Ford so forgive those who dont count brown-nosing as a recreation.

Look at it this way. Wouldn't you prefer it was revealed on its own with nothing to overshadow it? Imagine what would happen to FG sales if the whole car was revealed - no one would buy it and that commitment to run the Falcon out to 2016 would look very shaky, very quickly.

I agree it will do FG no favors but its screwed now regardless..theres going to have to be some incredible finance deals with Falcons..they just wont move. I dont think there was anything in that display that could over shadow the Falcon. It was all old news was it not? Was there any talk about how they will fill the engineering void for the guys at the Proving Ground? What on gods name are they going to do with that?

Sick of driving the runabout around. Been looking at the new Mazda6 (beautiful car) VF SS (disappointment) or GS (love the SC but a little tired of the FG look). Was hoping for a bit more on confirmation of release date/month, what's happening with XR8/FPV. Will continue to ponder and read with interest..

Yeah I have, it's just annoying to me personally. There were two pictures of the falcon with two different types of grills, I loved the other one that was a bit different

Long term though? They have been working on T6/Everest for a while. Its such a large complex, unless they are outsourcing work (which they did seldomly) then I hold fears for the future of that facility. Although it is true that a lot of OS cars have been developed there and many people wouldnt have a clue...still, they will need more work than Everest.
