Nice.

But please no twin double exhausts.
Twin system single pipe either side is so much better.

But that's what the official 2014 Falcon XR8 will have, just like what the current GT will have...

Wait for the specs on the new xr8 and decide when the info is available, the gt will always be better though.

It'd be fair to say Bonnet, Doors, Boot and Body Shell would be FG, from the hints we've been given? (give or take subtle changes to endsof bonnet/boot)

Dramatic differences in front/rear bars?

Close??

The new Falcon will feature an entire new front and rear, that means front quarter panels, front bumper, grille, bonnet, rear bootlid and bumper. As well as new taillights and headlamps It'll look alot different! When compared to the current FG MKII Falcon

Based on those figures Ford considered the name change a success, even though sales figures in total were lower for FG, but that had nothing to do with the name change, but a change in buyer preferences away from large cars.
Do you have a link to where those stats have been published?

In any event, comparing the two is not a like for like comparison, because there was no Fairmont Ghia Turbo. Therefore, G6ET sales should be discounted, leaving the comparison only between the G6/G6E four and six cylinders with Fairmont / Fairmont Ghia sixes and V8s.

The very fact that the G Series range had been expanded over and above the B-Series Fairmont range (including the hero G6ET) may account for the increase in percentages rather than the name change itself.

Hence, he is a very powerful person with lots of correct info on things, like the FH XR6T having 310kw's, how one drawing is spot on without seeing the actual car in full himself, and how the Mustang is totally crap and not as well known as the Falcon, and the Miami is the best coyote variant out there....

Very passionate about his falcons though, and put his money where his mouth is and is one of the few owners of a Ecoboost.

XR8 will be high 40's. So do your comparison on them being the same price.

Good question though, essentially the same car just comes down to those two letters really. For those who are getting a XR8 I thought of some plates last night...WHATGT

Looks like a neon/light tube setup which might be a cheaper yet effective approach?

I'd imagine the general shape of the exhaust will be the same, materials used and the computer controlled bimodal will probably be out the window though.

I'd be very surprised if the XR8 was GT spec with a different badge, many of the parts will be toned down I think.
