AUS GRUNT, when Spyman told me they weren't being made I was devastated, as so far I had only seen them with the strip LED's that will be on the G series, now knowing and seeing only the XR models will get them makes me really excited and happy with what Ford have done, as the dual XR DRL's will be the key part of an XR Falcon, like the dips were for the B series and FG and the circles were from ED-AU.
If these don't sell out then i'm a monkey's uncle, I'm going to be getting the new XR6 Turbo or XR8. I can't wait to see this car climb up the sales charts and watch all the doubters kick themselves in! |

That fourth pic is very Jaguar - thinking '96 - '05 XK8/XKR.
Good pics - good thread, very exciting. btw, there's nothing wrong with owning/driving an XR8, especially the LAST one!

Rather, they look like the buckets for the lights, and the led strip runs underneath the buckets (black tape hiding them)... then again...Sorta looks more like BMW style tubes, where the a single light glows the tube... be good to catch one at nigh/clearly lit up

Care to elaborate...?

I'd say the XR lights would follow the same design as the taillight 'neons', where it's a translucent tube lit by 1 led, giving a smooth even glow, rather than heaps of LEDs close together. My speculation anyway

I really like post 3769 where it's a surprise photo at night by an AFF member with straight up explanation and it's not from a news corporation or FB page.
More like this would be welcome. |

Lol, the only exterior changes on the 2014 Falcon is front and back, Spyman posted both pics of the front and back, with what he posted on the front being exactly the same as what the front of the teaser video had shown, in the pictures I sent today you can clearly see the duel LED DRL's and the G series will get the plain strip as the duel ones is unique to XR series Falcon's as the 'dual' headlight feature.
It's a no brainer guys, the pieces fit the puzzle, you obviously also haven't looked at the latest Escort which was designed by the same guy (Chris Svensson) in the same designing department. I also have a bit of inside info as well, so stop trying to pick and argument when i'm telling the truth. James Stacy, I have had requests by many people to remove people like you from my page, especially when alot of your corrections haven't been so correct, and also writing negative comments like saying I have the knowledge of a 13 year old. If you have seen all of what Spyman has posted on this thread you'll almost know exactly what it will look like, as he is now focusing on the interior after he has displayed most of the exterior. Ford know they can't get away with much lies on the Falcon (especially in the teaser) that being the DRL's as Australian's won't cop them any slack, and constantly ask for where the DRL's went. Why are so many people just putting down others? Grow up... |

That's a bit rich, the whole escort thing is old...way before this thread existed even... Quote:

I've yet to see a correction been corrected...usually its along the lines of... "I've seen the thing and I looks better, trust me." or "No, it will have, trust me" Know one as said you have knowledge of a 13 year old, rather its carrying-on like one when proved wrong, questioned on facts etc...like the massive hate directed at the mustang...and the previous "yippie I was right, spyman wrong!!" about possible DRL's... There are other members in this very forum who have inside info too, and some of it contradicts what you pass as truth...like the 310kw FH XR6t...something that was put to rest buy people on the lines letting us know that engine is no more. No one here is suggesting you are running a sham, and a lot of people applaud your work (17K facey page is a great effort!) but a lot of people are sticklers for correct info, and as such, are going to second guess some of whats being passed of as fact... You could do worse then involve yourself more in the discussion's in these forums and rather then just jump in and say things like "I've seen it", "I was right" "I have inside info so its truth!!" Especially inside info... Its tasty...

I think having the names confused people "Nice falcon" "its not a falcon, its a Fairmont Ghia" "whatever, same deal" Much better, G series or XR...luxury or sport, choice is yours.

It's great that Ford saw the market potential for a high powered luxury car and launched the G6ET. I'm not convinced that had it been called the Fairmont Ghia Turbo instead of the G6ET that it'd have sold any fewer.

Just looking at this photo, wonder if Ford has finally straightened the exhaust tip that has been crooked since 2008? |

The Headlights look like the flow and contour in nicely with the fenders and the lines of the car.

my take on that was they were just temporary mirrors - i reckon the FG Turbo will have wing mirror indicators and the orange guard repeater is just there for ADR's etc
could be wrong.

The cars we are seeing now are final production mules. That's why this one has the new wheels.
