Just been reading thru.the stolen car threads. My van was stolen in Brisbane 15years ago with just about everything I owned in it(tools etc.)So I know how it feels!I don't s'pose they care how much money, time, energy etc that the owners have put into their vehicles(they being the criminals who were once hung as Horse Thieves). Also the inconvenience.dependance etc lost. What does seem to take forever is the bitterness that has never really left me(the lost trust in Society). The few bad apples in the barrel spoils it for everyone to enhance Society.Yeah, thankfully most people have integrity & are respectful to each other. To take each other up rather that put them down!

This GT has been found in a Levin shed, no motor or box, half the dash gone, stripped out interior, gaurds etc and the F'wits had started to paint it brown with a brush. 1 arrest so far and more to come.

^^^Your correct, the guy who stole the FPV GT-E has been caught while driving another stolen car.

Fingers crossed they find the GT-E in one piece as it's a rare car.

Man who allegedly stole a pricey car from a dealership has been arrested, but the vehicle is still missing

A MAN has been arrested over the theft of an $80,000 Ford from a Melbourne dealership earlier this month, but the pricey car is still missing.

The 33-year-old was nabbed about 7.30pm last night after a short police chase on Stephensons Rd, Mount Waverley, during which he was driving a black Mercedes — also believed to be stolen.

He remains in custody being questioned by police.

Police are still searching for the stolen 2013 white Ford FPV-GT.

It was stolen from a Ringwood car dealership about 3.40pm on May 2.

The thief told staff at the Maroondah Hwy business that he wanted to buy the car, asked them to start it and then jumped in and drove away.

it amazes me that people are still stealing new cars.

but its not the methods of old. they seem to be doing a ****act and just driving off with them..blunt theft.

on the other hand. my neighbour had this landcruiser trooper and it wasnt running that great, he sunk alot of money into the turbo, head etc.. still had problems. was mystery stolen one night. ended up burnt out about 30 kms from here in the middle of woop woop. claimed insurance and that was that.

i know he did it. but i dont blame him. the thing was more trouble than it was worth.

I have seen 2-3 falcon xy GT HOs Phas111 in the colour Royal Umber.

To my knowledge- only one Phase111 was coloured Royal Umber. There were also 3 XY GTs.

I am the last registered owner of this Phase111 and have the genuine Authenticity paperwork from Ford Motor Company saying such.

I know there seems to be many more XY GTs about than were ever made- but it seems to me there are a couple of Phase111s in the once only colour "Royal Umber".

Handsome reward to any information leading to this vehicle...and total confidentiality if so desired will be promised.

Thank you all,

Bryan McCall

I also had another car stolen besides my XY GTHOPhase111.

A bit of advice for those who have more modern cars, and supposedly better security systems.

I had a 1991 VN Group A fitted with a 383cid "Come" stroker motor.

I heard an unusual noise early hours of the morning. I tried to watch through my lounge room blinds unnoticed. Then up pops a head then 2 others. I chased them down the road in my underwear!. They were to far ahead. But they made initial entry through the boot lock. So of course I tok the car to the Dealership for the lock to be recoded. I only had it back a week or so, and it was taken again. No signs of forced entry, no glass etc, etc. We worked out one of the mechanics must have taken the key and remote to the local locksmith and got them copied. ( No proof of I.D. is needed by the Locksmith.) A clean get away. we suspected the guy who may have did it, followed him home. He clicked on. A week later we found out he left his job at Booran Holden in Carnegie, Victoria. If they want it- they will find a way of doing ot guys/girls...

Just to clarify.
This is a thread for current stolen cars.
Whilst I sympathise your misfortune, we need to keep the thread on topic.

It wasn't my gear I just posted it here after my ex shared Brendan Bassetts post.

Good news though, the guy got his ute back but the bikes whereabouts is unknown.
It was taken after he loaded the bike on to his ute at about 4 am in preparation for a trip away. He went inside to do other things & someone broke in to the ute in his driveway & made of with it.

Default Stolen Focus XR5 Melbourne

Hey guys just thought I'd put it out there that my brother had his Focus XR5 stolen from his driveway in Oak Park.

Its an LV XR5, Sea Grey, sunroof, leather, black plates VLH 812

If those of you around the area could keep an eye out for it that would be awesome.

Cheers!

My daughter has 2006 model and I found they would be a fairly hard car to steal without key's even the bonnet needs the key to open and is hard to get open without the key.

Sorry to hear of your brother's situation mate. Damn car thieves should still be flogged in the village square I reckon.

Was he the victim of a burglary and subsequent theft of the keys, or was it a tow truck job or similar?

Not my car, not sure if the owner is a member here at all, but saw this link and had to share it.

https://www.police.sa.gov.au/sa-poli...t#.VGC_wmfDU7Q

"SA Police are appealing for assistance from the public to locate a distinctive car stolen from the garage of a home in Largs North on Sunday morning.

Sometime between 4pm on Saturday 8 November and 9.40am on Sunday 9 November a garage on Riverina Street was broken into and a 2013 orange Ford GT, with South Australian registration 'COYOTE' was stolen. The garage was unlocked and the keys of the car were easily obtained.

Police ask anyone who may have seen the car since the theft or have any information that may assist police with the investigation to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

If you see this vehicle please call Police on 131 444.

I'd be shattered if it was mine.

unreal

if anyone lives in teh lower hermitage and houghton area in sa keep your eyes out for a couple of blokes that pose as workers
sometimes tree loppers
sometimes council workers
have a beat up old truck
have been breaking into sheds and houses knocking off wuite a bit if stuff
cops know about them and have followed their route
but as usual a lot of people see something driving about and it seems weird for hte area...but dont grab a number plate (althou it prob wouldnt help)
they broke into a friends dads place (who is in his 90s) while he was asleep in the house during the arvo
got into the shed and stole a couple of trail bikes
they tried coming back later for the plethora of old school harley parts but for some reason got scared off
security has been coinsiderably beefed up
keep your ayes open
these assholes need a bashi....errr severe telling off

I thought ild drop this in here. I bought one of these for my GS:

http://www.tramigo.net/southpacific/...2_portable.asp

Has google maps integration, links to your smart phone via an app, remote immobiliseation via a text, easy to install (I was able to DIY) and is pretty affordable at $380. Just needs a SIM (i got a $10 a month one with telstra). It also has a few features like virtual fences so if the car is moved out side of a certain area you get an alert.

Hey Mercury if you need a hand man handling I mean catching these sods Ive got good steel cap boots that can slip on the ground a lot (if you get what i mean)

always ready to subdue low life before the law arrives. " sorry about the boot in the face mate, my foot slipped on the wet ground where you ****ed yourself after 'falling' over me mate."

Its always easier to say'sorry' afterwards rather than 'can I have a go now?'
