I like the xr50 kit but being fibreglass worries me a bit. And I'm not to sure about going such a bit kit with just an i6 in it which I don't plan on replacing

Au 1 Futura, 306,000 odd kays now & still going well! 5 years ownership & serviced by me every 10,000 kays, transmission 20,000kays - only service items & worn out components replaced. Great car for what it is!

In the last 2 years I have had..

AU2 Fairmont, Barossa Red...thats about it. Tidy car

Now

AU2 TE50, Meteriote, Blue/Black Leather, ESS :(

Love it, just wish it was a manual.

Why don't you do a manual conversion. I did an auto conversion once myself.

Well I will see how it goes, plan is to keep it pretty much stock but if the auto give me trouble then yes I will convert it.

Id rather buy a cheap T1 and go to town on it but Ive only got room for one project at a time, actually I havent touched the Alfa in months

I've got a series 1 fairmont and my wife has taken my serries 2 Fairmont which seems nicer to drive but the series 1 seems to be more responsive off the mark. Series 1s are so cheep to buy now and it's not hard to get good ones if you look around. Just make sure to check for rust in the boot just under the back window.
