Except not LED Strip at the bottom of the light as that's what the G series will have, Ford revealed these dual ones in the tease vid, which have now been made and are able to put on test models now, not having to use the G series ones on the XR versions.
The DRL's will be exactly as pictured: Last edited by Callum31; 07-07-2014 at 03:30 PM. |

Now what temperature is that showing? Coolant, oil or what? These temperatures can be very different from each other.
I assume the coolant temperature gauge is still in the cluster, so what is it and why? Seems a bit gimmicky to me, only because it just says "Engine", therefore is meaningless. |

It's been hinted on here plenty of times (by people in the know) that Ford will be concentrating on economy...etc over gaining a few extra kWs. |

Did you drain the colour from that pic or is everything inside going to be grey? (bland, boring, cheap looking)

The red emergency stop button suggests, no. It's grey, bland and boring. Unless you option the alternative colour.

Hey Nikked, the 'Bucket' doesn't go high enough if you look properly around the lenses so it can't be it. It's just using G series Headlamps in this pic, not the official XR ones

Be cool if some component suppliers gave us some hints :-)
Don't mind the grey interior...I look at VE's with the red in the dash and puke...even the 00's obsession with coloured leather was hit and miss...

But then you look at the XR50 interior with the colour variations including black console, which makes it a very nice place to be in.

That steering wheel looks identical? They on diff is better looking leather and stitching on the seat, and those extra lines in the door card leather.

Few more...
Top is the buckets plain with LED DRL's, bottom is a neon style tube (think BMW, Volkswagen golf etc....) but its bed time...

One more thing...
One thing about the neon tube style DRL, is that its more expensive to produce...massive investment for Ford to have to separate types of lights (neon tube for XR, l.e.d for luxo/base), rather then just a lense/reflector swap (BA-FG). So the LED strip could be constant between versions, and the reflector housings change, with the XR's getting the "dual hockey stick" buckets finished off in a high-lustre, while the G-series/base spec get normal elliptic buckets... A lot could happen between the CGI motorshow preview and actual production (ADR's, bean counters etc) that effect the final product.
