That center console looks very similar to the gtf pic (the one with the seat).
Are you sure this is the new interior?

Yes Spyman in that pic it was on an XR series because the proper XR ones hadn't been made yet and if they used FG MKII headlamps they wouldn't have fitted so their only choice was to use the G series ones.

As far back as I can remember cars had a single engine temp gauge (if they had one at all) and it did not specify what it was for - why have a problem with this now ?

Furthermore it should already have oil temp to (well mine did) and boost in the main cluster? So why do you need 3 engine temp guages? unless they have gone to a standard cluster with just engine temp, then this one could be oil temp?

Well hopefully the ICC will be customisable and be able to pull out and PID that you require.
Or just wait for ASL Automedia to hack it to your liking ;) |

As much as like blowing spare time reading on and off topic debates on here, does anybody actually know Ford releases dates on Information/whole pics of the new Falcon ?

With all the speculation, second-guessing and general carrying on that happens in this thread, it would'nt surprise me if Ford have already released it and nobody has noticed !

If the GT-F already has sensor data already feeding in to the ICC, then perhaps there's a chance the Falcon turbos might get the same kit. |

This thread seems to be a bit like little girls throwing their skirts up & even younger kids going ... oooh
Aerial looks crap. Will wait a few more days to recheck if things improve. I think spyman & callum are self serving tossers but that is just my opinion from what they have posted & how it is purged. Barraxr8 is the man. |

No, Ford haven't given any specific dates but I believe they've confirmed it'll be towards the end of the year.

Started an argument over an aerial question.... feels bad
So i've seen people mentioning an FX falcon or something like that, so there are going to be two versions over the years until Ford shuts down just like there was a BA - BF, etc?

I still reckon there's a chance it won't happen. What possible reason would any company have for releasing a product that no one is going to buy? It will cost them a fortune and will do nothing for the brand. Financially it would make more sense just to call it quits and get on with rebuilding the brand as a pure importer... Another 4 years of Falcon? Talk about flogging a dead horse. I love the things dearly and want to buy my third Falcon soon, but my gut feeling is the car industry is at the dawn of a really tough time, old hands I speak to haven't seen sales this slow for 20 years... I don't think any car company has ever released a mainstream car with the motto "It's about to die". It's almost farcical. Anyway, Ford do some crazy things and who knows what other driving forces are behind it - closing factories and putting people out of work etc is a big deal, plus there were those Government Grants etc... I've got a bob each way!

I think pulling out early would be a disaster for the brand. Ford Motor Company has deep pockets, we will get our final Falcon and they will wind down manufacturing here with dignity.
But I think this is a discussion for another thread. |

Let's hope they move quite a few! btw, external aerials are always big in the US of A, due to the populations love of AM Radio. You won't see too many Jaguars, for instance, with aerial-in-glass for that very reason......

On the aerials, I've got a Falcon MkII brochure where every page and picture shows an FG
Falcon with a rear roof mounted aerial, but it didn't happen. |

^ Interesting I just looked through my MkII FPV brochure and only the utes have the aerial. The brochure is a year old though.

The desire for conspiracy runs deep. Think thats been seeded more by the red side, FOA's decisions and communications have had much less smoke and mirror. I'm getting a XR8 want of my own happening, or might go a late FG F6 sedan. Love my GS ute all the time in the world to think

I say this tongue in cheek.
The last Falcon model designation will be the POO as that is how it will be dropped onto the market. It is kind of fitting as not even the company that makes it nor its dealers, really want to touch it, and just want to flush it away as soon as possible.
