Taurus this, Taurus that. All you seem to post about on this forum is your precious Taurus. Which has absolutely nothing to do with this thread.

With a starting price in the USA of 40K for the SHO, it would translate to a asking price here of approx $55 - 60K here.
It kind of makes the XR6T the deal of the century.

Err 25mpg is 9.4L/100km which is better than what the current FG GT is rated at. (however US and Oz fuel economy figures cant really be compared as they are different testing methods)

Checked - The moon is in Libra, but the Sun's still in Gemini (obviously) for a couple of weeks yet....
From experience, moon in Libra is where people (including your root) are HEAPS more negotiable, so asking for something (like an FH XR8 or GT-F) is advised. They (FMA) should do press releases in Aquarius (where the progression of a common cause/communal good is favoured). Happy Birthday, DASH, if it is around now..... Footnote for 'tough-guys': Can't believe deads#its scoff at these concepts, btw - when you change frequencies on your radio, does the station change? Rest my case. Just frequencies, that's all, pretty basic and provable. (ooh, air will be sucked out of a car and all will asphixiate above 17mph - if you wait until Alan Jones or 60 minutes tell you something is factual, you may as well switch your mains electricity off, and rub yourself to keep warm) BIG apologies for Rant - Saturday Night, excited about FH & love beer...

There's nothing really stopping it getting cut even seconds from launch, but IMO the closer we get to that point the more likely it is the car will reach the market.

I don't know about you guys but so far every Ford insider that I have talked to so far reckons the new Falcon looks better than the new 2015 Mustang. Plus from what I have seen so far I reckon the new Falcon looks better too!
I'm never buying another Ford, just keep rebuilding my Falcon's 2014 Falcon bring it on! |

Notwithstanding that, in my humble opinion, the front (nose) of the FG looks miles ahead of the new Mustang S550, The FG is sleeker, more aerodynamic and generally svelte & classy. Last edited by stevefreestyle; 08-06-2014 at 10:08 AM. |

I would ask one thing of Ford USA.
That is to put the new FH XR8 on the stand at the next big Motor Show over there with a sign saying "Would you buy this Car? Yes/No" and to table up the responses.

Stuff Ford USA. Let's all chip in and bring the car to various motor shows around the world. The FG Ecoboost 2.0L if marketed properly in Asia, where full size saloons are still popular and there is road tax based on engine capacity, will put the miserable 2.4 Camry (majority market share holder throughout most of asia) back in its place and show them what they are really missing. Hell, even build the thing in thailand rather than just letting it die.

Surely there is a market for the Falcon in asia. In Taiwan, ford Tiara and Metrostar share a similar design theme to the Ford Falcon BA/BF and are everywhere. If I recall rightly, our Ford escapes were actually built in Taiwan. Last edited by malazn mafia; 08-06-2014 at 04:21 PM. |

Only the G6E Ecoboost is going to have any realistic chance of being competitive. Speaking of my own experience in Hong Kong, cars over there are status symbols, where luxury, refinement, build quality and gadgetry are valued far higher than how fast it gets off the line. It is very much about keeping up with the Joneses. S-class are a dime a dozen, as are Phantoms and Ghosts. There are far more Mercedes-Benz, BMW and Audi on the road than there are Fords. Kuga, S-Max and Galaxy are available only in top spec Titanium trim. Even the lowly Corolla is kitted out with moonroof, full leather trim, dual zone climate control, keyless entry, Bluetooth, push button start etc - let alone the Camry.
