You should find most general info on either the B series forum http://www.fordforums.com.au/forumdisplay.php?f=175

Or the AU-BF forum http://www.fordforums.com.au/forumdisplay.php?f=30

More detailed info can be found in the technical sections

Hi All
I just got an 2011 SZ Territory Petrol TX

I'm thinking of the following mods

1. Replace the bad quality TX display with a carpc using Centrafuse, I've done it before with a pajero. I was wondering if anyone's done this already in a Territory ? I have a pc ready to go and also a DAB+ Radio module and FM (using a Monkeyboard).
2. Install Liquid injection LPI Gas by Orbital (currently $4500)
3. does anyone have instructions on removing the dash/radio etc ?
Also about to refresh the tyres with Kumho KL51's.

Any comments welcome.

Hi All,
I'm not big on intro's, but here I am. My name is Shane and my ride is a 2010 xr6, ego in color with no mods except for my wheels. If i was a bit more computer savvy I would upload a pick. That's it for now and I look forward to chatting and reading your threads.

Hey Guys,

Love fords, aside from 1 toyota, its all ive ever owned.

Currently in a 2008 FG XT which is my Project.

Going to turn it into a GT replica with superios under-carriage and custom interior.

Being an FG XT insurance is cheap.

Also just bought the FG for $5000 with 170K,

Considering i couldnt even find a FG GT for under $20k, do all the work myself, only thing ill out source is the decals and vynal.

look foward to picking your brains and contributing some how to guides.

G'day, I'm Womza and now on board. I live in the Western District of Victoria and own a 98 AU Fairmont Wagon in Regency red. Its been at the local Ford dealer all last week to get the rear demist working but couldn't find the problem. They checked the switch, the BEM and the heating wires on the window and of course the relay and fuse. Power to and from the BEM but not getting to the switch. Any ideas ?

Greetings from Finland.

I'm Sampsa, and I've own a Falcon XA GT for almost 15 years. The car is one of those few which were exported to United Kingdom in 70's and I bought it from there in '99.

I have had few European Consul/Granadas which I've converted to Ford small block V8. My current daily driver is Chevy Suburban '00 1500 5.3 V8.

I'm mostly looking for parts and contacts. I enjoy reading technical stuff also.

Cheers,

Sampsa

Hey I'm Ryan
I'm currently building a xa hardtop ..
It will not be getting restored bak to it's past looks
As she was pretty ugly bronze in colour and a cross flow 6" with brown interior.
So instead she will be a bit more modern and cleaner I started by
Getting her low with accuair system and a nice shave, big 3 pice billet 22"x10 on the rear 20"x8.5 on the front. This is the point I am up to ATM, the ball is rolling fast
And I have big planes for the running gear as the car outgrew the stock clevo that came in it.

In the picture I have both of the 20" rims
As we had to cut down the diff to tuck the 22"
Under..

I'll put some pictures up soon of the progress.
Cheers

Hello all,
I am Paul.
Previous Ford = 96 EF Faimont. Great car had it for 12 years. As of June this year LT Focus with the Duratec HE.

What I like about the Focus?

7.2L/100Km - I am saving about $5 perday in fuel cost over the Falcon!! (I do 100 Ks per day driving to and from work)

It feels good driving down Bulli pass - the falcon felt like a boat!!

On the Falcon the front discs needed skimming each year, along with new pads, because of the drive down the pass. Hopefully the Focus will be better?

Cheers all
Paul

Morning all, my name is Dave and I'm the Spare Parts manager at a non Ford dealership in Geraldton WA. Before I was here I worked twenty years in various roles for a West Australian parts wholesaler that supplied parts to the trade for both Ford and GMH products.

In the past I drove an EF wagon for a while but I am by no means a one marque owner having had Australian, Japanese, British and Korean cars in the garage at various times not to mention Japanese and Chinese motorcycles. My current drive is a Kia Sorento.

My main reason for lurking here is to discuss the industry, motor sport which I am a long term fan of and to gain the occasional bit of useful information about the Ford marque.

The Australian in me is bitterly disappointed by the abandonment of local building by the major American and Japanese companies but the realist in me can see that we really haven't the population base to sustain a local industry any more.

Anyway I hope to have more time to chat.

G'Day, names Serena from Melbourne. Have reg used this site as a guest to browse & source out info & tips to help me do the odd little fix up here n there. Used to drive holdens but have converted to Ford after buying my current ride, a 98' 5.0 V8 NL Fairlane. I love the beast but am experiencing a bit of frustration with it. I joined the forum in the hope other avid Ford lovers can throw me some info. Everything seems fine, she drives beautifully but now the ABS light is constantly on & the open door indicator is flashing. Also the battery keeps going flat but the altenator light is NOT on. Manual tells me there is an electrical fault which remains to be found after extensive looking & tracing? Im hoping some1 can help me out. Cannot find any info regarding this topic. Cheers

G'day, My name is Phil and I have had my 2002 AU series 3 manual ute for about 3 years. The previous owner had put a XR front on it so it is more of a fraud than a Ford! But it had a brand new tray, it had been rust proofed and paint protected and was in great shape. I've had a few issues with it since purchase, the major one being the manual clutch - what made Ford think it was better than hydraulic? So I've had the clutch cable replaced, still heavy, had the clutch and pressure plate replaced, still heavy. My left leg has grown muscles that my right is envious of. My current issue is with rough idling and from what I have read on other sites it seems to be a common problem with many possible solutions. So if there is anyone out there with some suggestions, I'd appreciate same.

Hey there,I have a question regarding gas mileage for a 1998 el falcon tickford model.it seems to be using 18-20 lt per 100km on the open road, has new spark plugs and just put petrol injector cleaner through it,heard maybe it could be O2 sensor? Also running it on 91 gas ,would higher octane give me better kms

Hi...

New member & first post so I guess I better introduce myself and tell you all a little about what brings me here, besides being a ford nut like most of you...

Back ground in mechanics but a jack of all trades and master of none is probably a better description LOL

Had mostly Ford's all my life apart from a few stray moments but I've found my way home again. So the cars in my life, 2 X 81 XD Falcon 6 Cyl, 2 X Escorts (will own another oneday, love me esky's), XW Falcon 351 and all the go fast bits, XE Falcon 351 mildly modified, GTR33 Skyline and all the go fast bits, Toyota Landcruiser trayback, G60 Nissan Patrol, Toyota Starlet Turbo with mild modifications, Ford Focus and currently run around in a N14 Nissan Pulsar while I restore my F150... Had a lot of other cars for short periods of time, fixer upper and sell sort of deal...

What brings me here, F150 conversion and restoration... Am in the middle of converting a LHD '89 Ford F150 Extra Cab cabin to go on to my '87 RHD Single Cab LWB F150... So I'm really here mostly on information on the coversion process but my interests range far and wide...

Cheers and nice to meet you all

regards,

Al

Hi, I am not really a car/truck fanatic, but as part of my late fathers estate he has quite of a collection of odd bits and pieces that are ford. He loved tinkering and pulling motors apart and rebuilding.
He has an interesting collection of side valve motors, trucks and car bodies.
