Perhaps a little off topic, but for anyone who isn't on the GTF thread...here is a 'unreleased' video of it on youtube, BTW no 'new' bumper from what i can see....could this be some of your handy work spyman ?

If the FZ uses the same front bumper cover across XT to G6ET as the FGII does, perhaps it's cheaper to have them standard across the range than to have a specific XT bumper without the holes?

Good point, it would also apply to the wiring loom. I should have mentioned that I was of course referring the the current FG II with the reat Park Sensors across the range.

I have sinking feeling with the looks of this thing, to me it almost looks like it's gonna have a flat or pug faced front end, would hate to see it end up looking like the unwanted offspring from two siblings.
Fusion looks quite sleek with its frontal treatment, the way the headlights streak back a long way towards the a pillar, 201x is looking very much the opposite so far. Hope I'm wrong. |

That mat silver center grille surround that looks like its stuck onto the front of the bumper rather then inset looks a bit odd.
The earlier shot of the black XR front had a recessed grill surround from memory.

Are you assuming the XR8 Gets the current 335 Kw GT engine with the quoted 15% OverBoost (from the 351) ???
I hope you are correct !! Edit: Just read the Wheels article: It does, however, create more excitement around the return of the Ford Falcon XR8 model when the updated Falcon range appears in November. That car will run what was the FPV GT engine, which is officially rated at 335kW. However, as Ford now admits, the V8 will pump out 15 percent more power, for a peak figure of 385kW. This much power in an XR8, which is likely to be priced within range of Holden’s SS Commodore, which costs $41,990 and produces 270kW, could really boost the appeal of the final hot Falcon. The XR8 will also be the first Ford-badged V8 model since the last XR8 bowed out due to emission rules in 2010. Last edited by stevefreestyle; 10-06-2014 at 01:47 PM. |

I actually am very tempted with the new XR8. Should it come with proper shocks from the factory (highly doubt it) and a (much) higher quality interior experience, it has the potential to be a weapon.

I am looking to buy the new XR6 Turbo and really hope it gets at least 290kw, it would be terrific if it could get the 310kw, as the XR8 will get 335kw.

Been said by plenty of those in the know, that the xr6t will not get the f6 upgrades.

I'm still going to be really surprised if the XR8 gets more than the GS spec 315 engine.
If it does get the full 335 tag I'd be surprised if it came in much under 60k.
