It came down to a close call and that is what happens did you not know that is a fact.

Fact is when in Australia when one does not vote and a Party wins by a lot, they do not go chase you up for not voting but if it's close then they would go out chasing up. because that's the system !
If one Party clearly wins they put it all to bed directly because it's been clearly declared won, but if it's close then they have to go and deal with all such things as they have to, because then such legal systems is then set in place

No one can truly declare won in a close vote until the system proves so. so then you have to wait for the out come. their is a lawful system that is in place you know.

sometimes when the counting is underway you just know who the winner is, it is pretty obvious. Antony Green (Aus ABC) is rarely wrong or very far away from being spot on and he is a political commentator, I am not referencing his USA predictions, but just him as an example. There are some in the media who spend every waking hours following this stuff so they know more than me, you and just about everyone else on this forum and dare I say it, even some in politics

Back read my posts so that you understand a little of how their system works, and each State has a different system to the one next-door, we are lucky ours are all done the same, however over there it is very different, it is a State by State count for a Federal election, that only happens here with our Senate

They may have a list of 2 to ??? things to vote for on one ballot paper, they could be voting for:
* the President
* the Senate
* their local police chief
* their local mayor
all on the one ballot sheet. I spent 7 hours with an American last Thursday, she gave me a very good insight into how their system works

If people are basing their predictions on their system being the same as ours then you are going to be way off

which is why I laugh when people yell fraud in relation to the Democrats (potentially) winning the Presidency and yet are happy to accept the result as being correct for the Republicans to (potentially) win the majority Senate seats. If fraud is fraud, then fraud is fraud, it is all on the same ballot sheet

really, it is not that hard to be shonky here, 2 things, say you are someone your not of similar age or just take the papers, not fill them in and put them in the ballot box

We have been doing postal voting for years with no issue, hell we only did it recently with our local council voting

That wasn’t in response to any of the points I made. They didn’t address the post you responded to either, it was just random stuff. I’m not making the claim that all of the allegations will prove to be legitimate fraud. I think there are heightened concerns and people will report anything that seems suspicious. I think some of the anecdotal evidence is concerning. I have heard some Democrats argue on these opinion shows, there is inevitable voter fraud, but claim it was insufficient to make a difference in the outcome. That may be so, but that’s the whole point of looking to see and make sure, isn’t it? Just because I voted for Trump and think he is better than Biden doesn’t mean I’m some tinfoil hat wearing conspiracy theorist. I’m not going to go out and burn down buildings in protest if he legitimately loses. But I do want to make sure the results are real and reflect what the people want. There’s a lot of money that funds these elections, you really think there’s no fraud? There’s corruption in just about everything except the election system? That just happens to be perfect, does it? We will see what happens.
