Stolen from Samson WA yesterday. Brand new Gekko Meteor cycle like this (but with green pedals):

A cousin's young son who had worked at Maccas to save up for it and hadn't even had a chance to ride it. They suspect someone saw them bring it home from the shop and then nicked it. I know it is not a car but he understandably heart broken.

Report the serial number to police and check cash converters next week.

This news article says that a rare FPV GT ute was stolen, one of only 120 made, and one of only 27 being manual:

http://www.news.com.au/national/vict...-1227150121845

I don't remember there being an FPV GT ute, only the Pursuit, and I'm sure it says Pursuit on the side in the photo. Not that it's a life-mattering dilemma but I thought it was interesting and wanted to share the article on this thread in the hope it may help recover it.

I have a cous in Canberra who had an identical thing happen to him. He has now moved but the incident took place in Kambah.

At the time, his garage was a double type at some units. He shared the garage with a neighbor. As it happened his door din't drop all the way to ground level due to uneven ground.

At one point, someone forced the door open & slashed the roof on his Silvia convertible in an attempt to steal it. The thieves then found some mail in the neighbors car, broke into their unit in the hope of finding keys. They did, but only to the neighbors VW GT Golf. It was presumed the thieves might have believed the garage was used by ONE tenant only, not 2.

Anyhow, the neighbors unit got sacked & the VW was found 2 days later at a local school burnt out.

My cous also had stock rims stolen from his work commy wagon whilst parked on the street.

I hate Canberra. It's rife with criminal activity & no one is immune to it.
Don't believe me, just find a carpark around lake burley griffin. Park your car, stay in it & I guarantee you within half an hour someone will spot your car & do a couple of drive bys in the hope of it being unmanned!

Yes; people do silly things lie leave their keys on a front door hall table, on a hook on the back of the door or on a bedside table.

my mates car got stolen 2 weeks ago, they broke into his turbo territory then found his other cars spare key and took that, a late model i45 diesel
a few hours or so after the cops found it utterly destroyed in the middle or a road a few km's away after they lost it on a 50km/h corner.
they legged it and got away unfortunately but the car had a split block, engine oil in the back seat and no blood was found at all, drive must have had broken bones the firewall was opened up at their feet.

p.s if a thief enters my house while i'm asleep i'd rather he find my keys easy rather than beating the crap out of me to get them, i lock them in a safe when i'm away but if i'm there i'd rather they take the key rather than my life

Sensible. I do the same. Keys at the front door, shotgun by the bed...

So the "Chip" in the Ignition key(transponder I think they call it.)Is the only way a car thief can actually start the engine & drive away.Unless they have time, nous & the gear to acess it otherwise.Except for towing it away etc.Yeah,me too;I sleep close to my keys & make sure I don't lose one!

Default STOLEN HG Belmont

Hi all my brother was unfortunate to have his HG wagon stolen from the Gold Coast yesterday afternoon , it's noted on FB as well.
It's a flat dark cream color , white wall tyres , Venetian blinds in side windows of rear , 253 V8 3 spd column shift last seen heading towards Ballina NSW and seen around the Gold coast area being thrashed.
Rego is Vic plate Black & white KTN-870
If you out and about and see this car please first call ...

[EDIT = Raptor: Just call the police, but not on the emergency no. as suggested. That would just be a waste of their time and potentially block the line for someone with a real emergency.

Not a good idea to post your mobile number on here either so I've deleted that too.]

Sure it's a Holden, just remember he's a car enthusiast too !

It's not a waste if their time when said stolen car has been seen numerous times driving in excess of the speed limit in a manner that's dangerous to all on the road.
As for posting my personal number that's my choice. I support this forum but sometimes I think the mods are just a little too opinionated.

The thief obviously had the keys & remote. You can see the indicators flash as he approaches.
Insurance fraud should be considered here.
Hoodie: he knew there was a camera
Gloves: came well prepared!

Was the car already running, because he didn't appear to have anything in his hands and it just moved off as soon as he got in. Not enough time to force the ignition or use some other key of any sort, just hopped in and go.

One of my employees had his Silver 2009 VE SS Ute stolen.

Stolen from the front of Salumeria Italiana Café in Templestowe Friday Morning around 6.30. Right in front of the owner and cafe patrons in a brazen theft.

Last seen heading up Bell Street by a mate who knew the car and didn't realise the thief was driving.

It's pretty recognisable, rego is RJORDS, and it has the loudest F off exhaust I've ever heard. Sounds like a V8 supercar. Had all his tools too so if anyone knows anything, that'd be awesome for him.
