I replaced the rear break pads and had the discs machined. Installed a lower grille into my BA2 XR ute. After discovering that someone has put a BF front on maybe after an accident. Yep I did order the BA one first! Anyway I do like the look of the BF rather than BA.

Been welding up holes that someone had seen the need to drill in the rear panel so I can strip, etch, repair and putty tomorrow or Monday.

Removed and refitted front swaybar to stop knocking, washed inside and out. Cut cup holder insert and refit to be about 20mm deeper.

Ripped our the heat exchanger and all the associated plumbing.

Check and grease all panels, hinges, latches etc. Check tyre pressures all round inc spare. Ran out of time to change oil and clean throttle body / service converter.

Adjusted the clutch cable.
Had it assessed at work for a payout after being hit up the rear a while back. Cheque will be in the mail tomorrow. GK

Put some new mudflaps on and lubricated the rubbers on the doors so the windows could slide up and down easier...

Hi mate, the lower shafts haven't been available for some time now - when I needed one, the only option I could find was one from a wreckers - I know you are taking a chance on the one being just as bad but as far as I know they can't be reconditioned. EF and EL don't interchange either.

Thanks guys! It's a rather major problem for all of us at some point. What, we write off perfectly good cars because we can't get that little part any more? Somewhere, someone must be able to press in a new uni joint?
Mike

Got my tint reapplied on my drivers door as there was a tear. While they were at it, I got them to put a sheet of 20% over the 35% on the rear windscreen... Mmmm sexy black.

it wasn't my car but the wife's telstar tx5 on friday i had to get 2x new front tyres as the insides were showing wire so they couldn't do a wheel alignment due to left LCA bushes being rs, so today i went pick a part and grap pair of lower control arms that had polyurethane bushes installed in them for 60 bucks for the 2
the car drives better, so on monday i'll get the alignment done. |

I put a headlining out of a fairmont into my au3 forte. A lot easier than I thought. Out of the parts car and into the car in under an hour.
I also wired up the centre console rear light, and drivers footwell light. And a half arsed vacuum.
