Short list here.

1st car: 1990 Diahatsue Handivan: 3cyl, 1.0ltr, awesomely fun car.
2nd Car: 2000 Hyundai Excel, crappy car, was fun while it lasted.
3rd Car: 1988 VK Commodore, with a 202 Black and a hollly 350 Carby, a set of extractors and sports suspension, was my project car but it got crushed into a cube when I lost my license.
4th car: Back to the Hyundai... Then I rolled it.
5th Car: My sexy EB Series II Falcon GLi, New sports suspension and exhaust being fitted in a week or so. Limited slip diff, 3 speed auto and a stock motor with a dual fuel system.

For Go: K&N Filter
Future mods: Extractors. 2 1/2 Inch exhaust. Typhoon Intake. Flash Tune. 20% underdrive. Dunno what else, open to suggestions.

Short term goal: 220kw from the rear tyres from a naturally aspirated 6 banger.

I'll try to remember but will most probably forget a few

1st: Mazda 808 - Show car brought off my brother
2nd: Mazda RX7 S2 - with 12a PP then 13b Turbo
3rd: Mazda 626 - the sleeper 13b turbo
4th: Toyota corolla - paid $1000, flogged it for 12 months never serviced it then sold for $1200
5th: Nissan maxima 2lt V6 turbo - brought this via trading post and did some mad burnouts but eventually blew up
6th: Toyota corona station wagon - brought it cheap with a 1.8 turbo motor in it then stripped and sold off when I got bored
7th: Ford fairlane NA - felt like driving a beached whale but was reliable
8th: Toyota T18 - huge rear tyres and trasfered the 1.8 turbo motor from the corona wagon for something different
9th: Mitsubithi magna TH - always wanted on of these since I drove one in my early driving years. Most of you would've seen pictures of it floating around somewhere, matt black with a dirty great big turbo in the engine bay
10th: Mitsubishi lancer, 2009 model - for the missus work vehicle, tax writeoff FTW!!!
11th: FPV GT-P BF - brought as an engagment pressie for me and the missus.
12th, 13th and 14th: numerous projects still sitting in my backyard waiting to be finished.

and I'm only 28...

1. 87 XF GL - First real car, fond memories, but in reality a bag of sheet.
2. 90 EAII S - was a great car, one of my favourites. Did'nt live up to the EA legend. Was a very reliable car.
3. 96 EFII XR6 - top car, one of my favourites for sure. First brand new car. If it wasn;t for the head gasket it was perfect.
4. 79 XD Falcon - 4.1 iron head. Went like stink for what it was. Used it as a daily to save the K's on the XR6. Even the rust had rust. Not a smart buy.
5. 83 XE Fairmont - new runabout to replace the XD. It too was claimed by rust.
6. 84 XE Ghia 4.1 EFI - Haven't learnt have I? Great car, but suffered damage in a freak hail storm. Had plans for a 302 in it. Lost interest and went to seed. Sold for $50
7. 2000 VTII Calais 5.7L - goes link the clappers, but the dumb as nails auto and poor suspension tune spoiled the enjoyment. Very reliable and economical. Love / hate relationship with this one.
8. 96 EFII GLi - what a trooper. runabout to replace the XE Ghia. Nearly run this one into the ground. But not all good. This one is prone to doing head gaskets. Still going strong, but starting to feel its age.

Of all the Fords I've had, the XD/XE/XF series have proven to be the biggest piles of crap imaginable. Always fixing them. I'm surprised it did'nt put me off the Fords. The quality of these things at the time were complete rubbish.

Surprisingly, the EA was one of the best, not a moment of trouble. Weird.

If I did'nt have an unexplained love affair with large RWD sedans, I would have abandoned the locals years ago. But I'm an emotional car buyer, not a smart one.

PS - I would like to extend my gratitude to the local car industry for my above average grasp of mechanical issues.

wow, some cool lists in here I gotta say! Mine is a little more humble

1978 mini LS.....with red velour interior!

The most beaten up EJ ute ever to grace the road.......still hating the day I sold it though.....some seriously good memories in that car.

1974 bridgeported RX-4 coupe. great car, cost me a fortune in engines, tyres, fines, and exhausts.....wish I still had it. Picked up a hot chick because of that car, 23 years on and 3 kids later and she actually wants me to buy another one to do up! Isn't it the way, you want to buy a car and the missus says no, your missus wants you to buy one and you ain't got the money to do it justice! One day.....This time I'll replace the brakes FIRST!

around a 1975 lancer........enough said

Old 70's peugot 404..........don't ask.....was a cool old cruiser though if unreliable.

1980 VB commodore......banana yellow. Had that thing for 10 years and short of stripping the timing gears it gave me no problems whatsoever. Was stolen and recovered about 8 times. Sometimes I'd find a full tank of fuel, other times beer in the back seat, but every time a missing radio. I gave up and bought a walkman!

1994 lancer......you think I would have learnt the first time.

1997 EL Falcon. Only just took it off the road this year due to chronic rust, but did 360,000km hassle free km in it. If the thing wasn't made from salted steel, Id' have passed it on to my son as his first car.

2007 XR6 turbo. It took me 26 years, but I think I found the right car for me....until I replace it with an FG that is!
