A co-worker who took over 5 hours to do a job that would have taken me 30 minutes, and I would have done it to a higher standard than the 5 hours it took this person.

Always at least one in any workforce who will bludge off other co-workers, I have two of them in our department of 7 workers. I feel your sense of frustration!

The problem with such an approach is it may not retain customers, it might not be legal, it could be unsafe, it can even cost more than it appears to save. Tipper-and-dog pilots tick a few of the above points.

With all the cost of living issues at the moment, thank goodness Coles have made things that little bit better by taking 20% off grog.
That's right, lets get drunk so that we can forget about being poor, that we cant buy a packet of lettuce or be able to fill a tank with petrol without a re-drawer...........

Saw a photo today of a govt minister visiting a school veggie garden, thought, jeez, there’s $300 of lettuce sitting out in the open like that

Not here on this forum, but I just had to use the ignore function for the first time in the 14 years I have been on car forums.
I so wanted to rip this person to threads, his tone, insinuations and uniformed views make me so angry. So angry I just had to type something to get it out of my head. This person has a history of probing posts, in that he knows how to ask trolling questions, and then when challenged or replied to, turns it back on the responder in an attempt to discredit what is being said and general make someone feel ashamed. The world needs less men like this.

I was out for dinner last night with my mum and my son. Pre covid my local did $10 steaks on a tuesday but thats long gone.
So, my mum wanted the non existant $10 steak and just couldnt comprehend that they dont do it anymore. I was paying anyways so to save wasting my life my boy and I went to order. So as there is no $10 steak we made the executive decision to get her the porterhouse. So we ate our meals. One very good personality trait about my son is he is very honest, but in this case he should just have said nothing. So mum was super pleased with the '$10' steak. My kid chimed in saying 'no grandma, they dont do the $10 steak anymore, that was $38'. I paid for dinner, mum doesn't typically cook meat when shes at home so going out i thought id be nice, she wanted steak so i got her a good one. No good deed goes unpunnished. After finding out her lovely meal wasnt on special, good thing she doesnt carry a wooden spoon in her hand bag, she was properly angry at me. |

She will carry a concealed wooden spoon now. Although as a recent court case proved, you can’t discipline your children anymore: https://www.9news.com.au/national/qu...1-82a72cc5038e

People who go to the trouble of joining a forum, asking a question and then ignoring or not acknowledging the suggestions they receive.

Yikes. Think I still have a coathanger hanging under the bonnet of the PV, custom designed to hold the vacuum gauge up where I could see it.

Not at all, I like answering lots of questions. But don't be a rude by not showing someone they took the time to help you.
(Comments not related to this forum, was on an American forum, you know, how they think they are the center of the universe.)

I have noticed that trend as well. It's also completely insane how un-aware they are of the world around them, a completely self-centered society.

First world problems I know, but I don't seem to be having much luck with my cars lately.
Just had out weekly Coles delivery dropped off. The driver accidentally dropped a poorly glued box of soft drink causing one of the cans to rupture and spray its contents over the back of the XR6. A couple of towels and some McKee's N-914 and the problem was solved. I felt really bad for the driver, he was pretty embarrassed and apologetic. I said to not to stress about it and that mistakes happen all the while displaying a cool demeanor despite me screaming inside.

"Lucky you're with AAMI" is false and misleading advertising. Maybe the ACCC could get some publicity?
