Yes, a bit hard to see ford offereing a complex model line up when they are winding up operations...most we can hope for is a few special editions.

Of course, when things are ready to be replaced will look at the XR Boss Spec or what whatever ....... its just that in my thinking, rightly or wrongly, being my age, the GT for Ford has always been it. Something I wanted to own for 35 years and now have one. A case of, where to go from here. Yes there will be those who will think the same, especially some in the same age bracket or older ...... BUT there are a lot more younger cashed up people that will jump to it. ESPECIALLY with the way the FX is shaping up to look like

For sure, Ford won't want excess stock kicking around waiting to be discounted.

I personally never warmed to the GS because I thought it was a XR8 badged as an FPV (nothing against the car as it's an awesome package), but I think we will see it come down in price (cost savings by not using FPV spec interior items) and then appeal as a cut price V8 sedan. If it eventuates I think this is what I'd personally look at (knowing a tune gets it into new territory and big brakes can be added later).

Is it fair to say, this will be the last Australian designed and built car? ( US Designed 2015 Camry notwithstanding).

I wonder if Ford relish in the squabbles on here as in they've leaked only a tiny bit of info in the 'teaser' and all the out on the road shots are car bra covered; then they show some employees the final product as if to see who will leak anything. As a result there's so much speculation and suppostion they likely have a notice board up somewhere where the most hilarious (to them) posts are put up with yellow highlighter all over them.

Don't forget the office sweep to see who is getting closest... AFF, Car magazines or Facebook

And anyone who couldn't afford a GTF will still get some serious grip, stop and go with the XR8.
