Considering you sit *in* a car, the interior is pretty damn important to a lot of people. One of the things that prompted me to change away from a Renault was the interior, the cabin ergonomics were simply stupid. The VF is a profoundly huge leap up from the VE. The F-whatever is going to have to have a bunch of tech to convince the easily-swayed buyers that its worth looking at. Otherwise, leaving it at new bumpers, its just putting lipstick on a pig. |

FG interior/dash in my opinion is a thing of beauty, (G6e-G6et). Unfortunately when a car is being updated after 6 years, there's an expectation of change. Spyman's pick clearly is that of an XT so not a lot of bling, but i hope ford can be more imaginative than that with the final product

If Falcon continues to not sell, it will have little to do with the interior.

Later on with the release of the E series 3, despite even that car having more trinketry, the Mk.II FG GT I looked at on the same day, still felt like a much nicer car to be in. I think every FG I've ever been in must have had aftermarket seat rails as the seat height position felt absolutely fine, to me |

An FG Interior feels superb, under all conditions; Fanging, cruising, commuting, touring, shopping or:
Sitting in the shed, radio and blue dash lights on - with a tinnie in hand!!

the only thing I would add/change to the interior is back lighting for the ISS/GPS screen and maybe paddles on the steering wheel. Hopefully they will also have fold back side mirrors and windows up on locking the car. Otherwise if it aint broke, dont fix it!

Regarding your pic Spyman, any ideas what is in the cup holder?
Looks like a button or turn knob... Last edited by AU1XLS; 29-06-2014 at 07:09 PM. |

I'd add auto up/down on all four windows, and just add a new steering wheel (easier said than done) the steering wheel is probably the biggest letdown - only because of the big empty piece of grey plastic in the middle.

Not in favour of the Auto up on all windows. Too much chance of little kids (or Dogs in some cases) getting a hand/paw caught

I would like to think that the days of leaving kids and pets in locked vehicles is over - but you are right. Never considered that aspect.

You really need to indicate that that was sarcasm, regarding some of the earlier posts from people claiming you work for Ford. Can you do me a favour and be clear in regards to that, the last thing I need is for your sarcastic posts to be misinterpreted, and then I get dragged through the coals. Cheers.

Any car fitted with auto up windows needs to have a fail safe "anti-trap" feature to be legal I'm pretty sure

I was told alot of the earlier and still a few of the prototypes weren't going to use the new interior yet. As people could fairly easily see it. I tried looking for the message but someone messaged me saying a few days ago they saw the new Falcon testing and the interior was covered up. So maybe they're starting to use the official new interior on the prototypes now? Closer to launch?
