If you are so far above us on all things to do with the new Ford Falcon maybe you should stay on your fagbook site?? As has been mentioned on many occasions, the tone in which you type your posts really ****** off most of us. Just calm down an enjoy the ride of the new release, this is not the first new model that this forum has been actively involved in.

I think he means the XR8 and XR6t will get bigger standard brakes (and we are hoping Brembos as an option and/or an upspec model)

Ok I’m going out on a limb here to ask this question..... is there going to be a new model with in the updated Territory range...ie a sport range ?, the reason I ask is that the new pic’s that are out today it look’s like the Territory in question has larger wheel’s but the noticeable thing is what look’s like Grey mirror scalps like the XR range soon to be ?.
Or is it just my eyes ?. |

That XR8 has brembos.
As per why it has FPV rims on it.

No one care's who said what first anyway. So once October comes and this car is out, who's going to give a crap if facts were straight, crooked or circle? Your 15 minutes of self perceived Facebook fame will be over. So let **** roll off and enjoy it without getting worked up.

I damn we'll nearly jizzed myself over those pics.
Hey spyman, those rims on the XR's look like the current fpv wheels. Is that what the XR's are gonna have? I reckon they need a new design and would be pretty disappointed if they were running with that wheel design |

I reckon we are weeks away from hearing something.
Its possible they will do something like they did with the GTF and drip feed via facebook. They have done it before.

So are we going to get two XR8 models (SS-SSV) or just the ability to tick a few option boxes?.

They may do something with the mirrors (remember they did with F6X) but I cant see them doing a sports model sadly. They have enough trouble with 3 variants.

XR8 will get Brembos and 19 inch wheels / 275 rear rubber standard though with the 335 donk. But hey Callum probably knows better.

Yes that’s true, they wouldn’t have the fund’s either and time frame to do a new model as well come to think of it.

My gut feeling is two models for simplicity and to copy the VF model lineup that seems to be getting buyers into upper specced (bigger margin) cars (SS-V is the biggest seller)

They are going to charge a premium for XR8 to start with, so it will never compare to standard SS as far as $$$. A standard XR8 will be pretty much comparable to a SS Redline anyhow (19's standard, 4 pot brembos, colour screen, dual zone etc) and the luxury pack option will be cheaper I would think as the wheels wont change, it may not even been a luxury pack option, but just a leather option.

Then have a 335. Brembo equipped car to go against the SS-V/SS-V Redline..? With FG, they had FPV that they had to keep prices and specs away from, now there is no FPV GS the worlds their oyster surely.

XR6 Turbo is the SS competitor. It should be spec'ed similar to how it is now, which is similar to SS. If you dreaming about a budget XR8 then you best keep dreaming (no offence).

Why would you assume 275 rear rubber with the 335? The standard GT 335's a lot of us have came with 245's and Ford were pretty precious about not letting anyone who didn't own an Rspec purchase the wider wheels. Surely it'd be a massive slap in the face to those owners if they brought out the XR8 with all the stuff that made these limited edition cars special?

You know what's annoying about this thread....the amount of freaking comments that occur in such a short period of time!
I refreshed 3 times and each time almost a whole page of new posts occurred... lol I guess the new falcon is getting everyone excited...but how many are actually committing to buying one this year? I'll be a buyer when my loan is up...........in 2018! |

Anyhow you will just have to wait and see, but to be honest they would be SILLY not to atleast put decent rubber on the last XR8, as it is a direct competitor to the SS Redline (which has 275 rubber), its gonna make it look like a pile of dog ****, for the same money! I personally think ford will protect GTF 351 by not upping the KW on XR8, but R Spec owners are just going to have to take it as it comes, their cars were limited editions but thats no different to owning a 40th Anniversary BF GT when the FG XR8 had the same donk! As for part restrictions thats normal, FPV have done it for years on most of their parts, you cant just lob in with a GT vin and buy an F6 part so why would a GT vs GT R spec be any different. They have done this to stop morons going around buying XT's and fitting them out as FPV's.
