Hi, my name is Sue, I like all Fords, I've had a few from XR up to my current BF XR 6, my favourite was the XW Fairmont, I joined the forum because when I have a problem with my car I look on this forum to try and work it out, I've done a few repairs myself on the older cars which were more basic, the later ones are more complicated but I enjoy analizing the problem.

g,day all. new to the forum. I live in quorn in the flinders ranges s.a. had fords for a long time, xw,xy2,escort,xd wagon,xd ute,xe2,xf2 and at the moment I've got an xf sedan, xd ute and a xh ute. in the seventies my xw was used in 14 weddings, a beautiful car it was until it got pounded by a freak hailstorm in port augusta in 1975. I always managed to keep my cars in good order no matter what the problem but this xh ute is breed of its own, so ive joined the forum to ask for advice from real ford people, so cheers to u all. Frank.

Hi, everyone. Just bought myself an XC. Now I've taken off the rose coloured glasses I can see it needs a LOT of work. Hoping as time goes on to get tips, advise and contacts to ensure she gets back in her prime.

Hi, I have a ford xp ranger 2013. Currently out of warrenty as it has just hit 120,000km due to being a plumber i drive all over.... recently the EGR went on me dumped all my coolant and hit red hot.
So took it to ford to fix, was charged $1880 to replace 3 days later the powertrain light came on took it back apparently a blocked fuel filter another $150... totally call shenanigans as another 4 days later check engine light and powertrain light came on driving from canberra to gosford....almost $2100 spent and still i have both lights on and completely lost power... totally frustrated with dealing with ford belconnen act. Have clean solenoids in air filter and manifold. NRMA completely useless... any ideas as im on holidays and limited to time and tools.
Totally will never buy another ford as long as I live.

Evening all. Never thought I'd find myself on this forum, I'm the enemy, after all. I have a VF SS Commodore, but I've recently put a deposit down on a Focus RS. I'm here to find out some more information about the RS, including issues and reviews from the people who have already taken delivery.

Thanks everyone.

Hi all,

Any chance anyone knows where I can pick up a decal for my automatic gearbox for a 2006 BF XT Falcon.

Essentially, the silver "sticker" that surrounds the top surface of the gearbox is peeling and I want to replace it.

Cheers!

That is fine as l don't blame you holden and ford cars are made like **** big cars have very thin plastic rear and fronts guard can fall off easy as paper

Hi all, just dropping in to see the news.

My current ride is a 2004 BA RTV with h/duty tray (work horse, not party pony).

Previous was an XH P/van with a great gearbox/transmission ... did quite a few Perth-Darwin trips.

Cheers, Myk

Hello,

You cant fix something before it fails. You may have been unlucky, but you dont yet know why the warning lights are on this time. If you fix a leaky Tap and the sewer blocks 3 days later is that shenanigans ? There is also a touch of irony in the fact that a plumber takes his car in for a water leak.

Hi,
We just purchased an AU XR8 ute.

Previous owner had lowered it and fittted Nolathane suspension kit.

It was all black when we brought it and we fitted the silver stripes to break up the black.

Alf

Hi Anthony, welcome to AFF.

At the top of this and every page you will find 'Tech Resources'.

You could also try the AU-BF forums.

Name says it all - 2013 Focus with unfixable auto transmission. Sick of getting the run around from dealer (was City Ford, now Bayford). About to try getting 13FORD to replace vehicle. Thought I'd snoop around here to find out my chances!
