97 million profit. Destined for Europe and US. What happened, Ford??? Built for LHD and RHD. And petrol 'skyrocketing' to 74 cents. Stuff the present and future. Someone build a time machine

Cashie, after the reveal of the VF Holden did admit, that they ran out of money for the exterior therefore saying they could have done alot more changes to the exterior if they had the budget. I can easily tell the difference between the VF and VE but front wise not as much as rear wise.

VF is vastly different, probally more substantial then what we'll see with the falcon, with the commodore having changes to the rear 1/4 panels...

More substantial as far as how much they changed, but they kept it conservative. Falcon's change looks to be a bit more radical with that Euro-Ford look- the front end in particular is going to look nothing like FG did. Whereas looking at a VF (particularly the front end) you can kind of tell it's a VE wearing a mask.

So do any substantive spy photos exist of the last Falcon (both interior and exterior)?

VF was a mix of a cancelled update and a new model.
The update the VE was meant to get was supposed to happen in 2010, with a complete new model in 2014.

To say they ran out of money for the outside when they changed every panel, light, wheels, trim externally bar the doors and roof is a big call. They even employed aluminium in the bonnet and boot, but the budget ran out, serious?

Yes, if only Ford had a similar budget and resources for the FH/FZ.

EA26 had far too many shortcomings to be a viable seller around the world, unless they released it overseas with the 4 speed auto, improved 4.0 litre engine and IRS from the get go. Which would never have happened anyway.

VF has dated quickly in my opinion, sure they looked good on release but looking much older today. Fingers crossed for the Ford update to be a bit more substantial.

They based the styling of the VF on the Malipoo which was already a slow seller in the USA. Holden should have based the styling on the Camaro.
Has there been any test mules seen in any of the other states yet?

Have we run out of things to discuss about the last Falcon?

From the photoshops and pictures by Spyman and Nikked, it very well seems to me like the new design (both front and rear) is actually starting to look very good and it blends in well with the 6 year old doors and roof life. I reckon it'll trick alot of people into being a 'whole new model' (exterior wise) than just an update.

VF Omega Front reminds me of the XF Jag
Bonnet, Big Grill , Lower intakes I'm also willing to bet that for all of the people who will instantly love the look of the last Falcon, there will be people who hate it and whinge how ugly it is.

Chopped, hey I see what you mean between the VF and Jaguar, good spotting. Based on what I have posted on my page so far, it appears that more people are beginning to like the 2014 Falcon look than more who don't. So it's going to be interesting, but personally I'm quite upbeat about the new Falcon's design

Why? Just don't open the thread if you dislike the content.
I'm appreciating the updates, members views of the new Falcons and the general conversation. These threads are what FF is all about.

New Commy is kinda relevant though. Until more pics or something is found what exactly do you expect people to talk about? Some new sticker pack on another GT?
