Hmmm yeah, I hear you!

Currently (ignore my previous post from months ago), I am not a lawyer.

Currently I am on maternity leave, with my 8 week old son. Also have a 12 year old daughter and 9 year old son. One plays footy and the other plays netball, plus they do all this other stuff, like choir... while the youngest just eats all day! So yeah sometimes it feels like Im on housework leave rather than maternity leave! Its nice to have more time during the day to get things done (as opposed to a 10 hour working day) but it seems like there is more to do! Im lucky I have an easy baby though.

Im going back to work in July, so that should be interesting! My work is very stressful so I am not sure how things are going to go with that, and the baby... however, the mortgage needs paying so I dont have much choice. Not looking forward to it, to be honest. Would like to be home a bit longer.

We have a precondition to "rate" people by their occupation. It's one of the first things that people ask you at a party... then you're pidgeon holed (and cornered into answering questions that are of interest to them, for free, lol).

Hey Ron,
Same problem here , someone has a party "Oh! Norm , bring your gear with you & give us a few tunes"

1/ Wagon Chockers full even the front seat & got to go home for the Mrs .
2/ Takes at least an hour to set up.
3/ Always take 2 guitars at least , cost of strings $25+
4/ $28,000 worth of gear (need some return on investment)
5/ Been playing for 30 yrs + , last thing you want to do is go out for the night with the Mrs & spend all night playing.
6/ All the "drunk jerks" wanna play the Gibson ($7,000 to replace & I've owned it for 31 yrs & is still in mint cond.)
7/ They expect you to do it for FREE.

OR

"Always wanted to learn to play guitar , will you teach me , lessons are SO expensive these days" Average price these days is about $30 a half hour.
But if you want something in return , "Oh , I'm TOO busy" ......

Only jobs I do for FREE is Special charity work , School for the Disabled , Cancer Research , Careflight , entertain at the local "Old Peoples Home" etc.

Luckily for me I'm musically challenged. Lucky for them as well, lol.
