Discontinuations generally happen in the lead up to a new colour and there are usually a small batch of pilot builds in that colour released before the colour comes on stream properly.
I have to agree that the current colour palette doesn't offer a lot of excitement with the four mainstays mentioned above having been around a l-o-n-g time now. We went through the Tezza choices when considering a replacement for the current one and there wasn't anything that screamed at me from an appeal perspective. Cheers Russ

Shockwave was brilliant once they worked out how to make it stick to the car...

Would anyone hazard a guess at how many automatic gear boxes they are allocating for the last model?

Blueprint was definitely a hero colour for the BA model and proved to be incredibly popular. Hardly see any blueprint AU3 models (XR or T3s), but in BA guise there are plenty and it's still a fantastic looking colour IMHO.

I think you also have to factor in that the shape of the FG doesnt lend itself that well to outrageous colours. The B series did that ok because it was a bit more in your face "brick style". Where the FG is a bit more rounded and "classy", IMO the same reason why the AU never had crazy colours.
This looks like it has a bit more stance than the FG, so it should be able to carry stronger colours but even then the trend at the moment seems to be for complex metallic/pearls. Hopefully atleast one flat bright colour comes through.

he basically told me they are using territory headlight body's with a different set up inside, rear lights look like DB7 tail lights from aston martin, also told me they might be introducing some retro falcons like the way holden done with there HDT' range in the VE's...

I like the overall look, but in some of the photoshops the nose is looking very "heavy", I hope it is not so far out from the wheels and "heavy" looking. (if that makes sense).
ie. this one for one:

Anyways I'm liking the look of the new Falcon, the only thing I need to do is convince the missus that if it ever stopped going that it won't be able to be fixed.
