We shouldn't care what Ford think considering they are much to blame for the demise of the Falcon.

The driving characteristics I feel will be quite similar to the FG, but curious how the updated nose will effect co-efficient drag.

Look forward to seeing an uncovered one soon.

I don't care what Ford think. They way they have treated me as a customer over the years with certain issues I couldnt give a toss about them!!!

I just hope Spyman is okay!

Another interesting point I would like to add is the fact that theres going to be a limited supply of performance models due to lack of transmission supply. What are peoples thoughts in regards to this?

Yes and when someone asked where he was getting the pictures from I quoted this forum. Whats he do? Deletes the post and my privileges to post on his page. Hes a smart **** who likes to have everyone believe hes the insider, when in reality hes only someone who steals other peoples media, removing their copyright symbols.

Is this referring to some of the pics Spyman put up showing the car up real close were he cropped them? Like that pic of the green one showing all the fog light detail and headlight, and the one with the rear 3/4 view with a car cover cropped out.

He might have a mate working on the line he slipped a few bucks to. Some of his pics wouldn't have been taken from standing behind a tree 500 yards away.

I have noticed some of Callum's updates do read like it is some how associated with Ford..

things weren't nearly as crazy with FG, so much drama over FZ/H/U/X/14

Ford: release some imagery already and it'll solve your problems. I'm sure Holden have their finger on the trigger of their special editions, just waiting on your move.

This does have me worried that they will be gone before I can afford an XR8. I wonder if Ford will tell us how many are going to be available

I don't know. But i do know they have limited ZF strengthened boxes which apparently can only be ordered up until December this year?

Probably has something to do with Euro 5 Emissions.

Agree, it's not like it will slow the sales of the FG, they aren't moving any now.
They should pull out all stops to advertise, build excitement and release this car as soon as possible.

yeah but i'm not sure anyone here knows the exact number of strengthened ZF's left so supply may well not be a problem. Plus i'm sure there'll be a lot of people ordering manual XR8's, since there's no GT anymore the purists like their manuals. So i don't think it's as bad as it sounds.

isn't it just the input/output shaft that's different on the strengthened units anyway? What are the torque ratings for the Chinese box?

Plenty of time left for what? To stock pile them? I think they have their order locked in.

As for torque ratings you would have to think the chinese box is simliar to a standard ZF, i reckon around the 500 nm mark. (Ranger uses it at 470nm).

yeah so if they can upgrade the input/output shaft on the new box it shouldn't be much different (not referring to build quality though) for high output application

I saw the pics he posted. One was of a white car just showing the uncovered side blinker. And one was a shot of an uncovered tail light (can't remember the colour of the car).
