There was also one of an XT front bumper & G6 headlight lense.

Him removing Spyman's Copyright means that the pictures are illegally taken.

As for torque ratings you would have to think the chinese box is simliar to a standard ZF, i reckon around the 500 nm mark. (Ranger uses it at 470nm).
Ranger uses a diff box (6R80) to the Chinese one going in.

What box does the Territory Diesel use?

Where did the 1500 number come from? And isn't the Mustang box also a licensed ZF unit built by Ford as well?

I can see it now Ford are going to take advantage of this when we walk into a dealer and try to deal on these cars

I made it clear to everyone that I have nothing to do with Ford, that's why I posted the messages from them.

I deleted your post of the link to the forum's because everyone will know it's the forum that has all the pictures and Ford will try and do something about it.

Ford have contacted me directly about this.

Some people don't listen...

I am posting the images to get a reaction from Ford so they will hurry up the launch before everyone else reveals it themselves and to ramp up the excitement for the new car. Sorry I didn't realise that was your Dash GT. Sorry.

I'll try and unblock you, I deleted the comment to save the Forum from getting into trouble directly by Ford.

I think you'll find that Ford already know a lot about (and probably watch) this forum

Not to mention that in the past members have been invited to road test and report on cars.

I don't think You'll be able to push ford any more.. They'll release it when they're good and ready to. They will want to be sure it's ready for release....

Its quite well known that they browse it and even post here...we have had Ford PR sign up and keep us in the loop on certain things...

And, they probably aren't all that fussed that this very forum has generated massive discussion and interest in the car, as this forum has over 100,000 members and most likely a larger percentage of serious people interested in purchase (compared to a FB page with a statistical draw of 18-24 y.o's).

Ford are would also be very interested in the feedback from the spy photos and renders that this forum contains, as they could have made slight changes to specific parts based on reception on here...

Safe to say, if Ford themselves invited members here to critical launches of products like the EcoBoost, they have an great interest and trust in what we do...

Ford: release some imagery already and it'll solve your problems. I'm sure Holden have their finger on the trigger of their special editions, just waiting on your move.

I dunno...

There was enough discussion about "orion" to need a sub forum, was good days, seeing those spy photos then the "rubbish dump leak"...

Hi guys, my apologies, I made a mistake.

I respect you all and your disagreements to the mistake that I have done.

I have deleted the pictures, I will try and figure how to unblock you DashGT and I won't do what I did again.

I did today however accomplish what I wanted to today, I managed to get Ford attention and get them to answer some of my questions which is what they did (thankfully).

I have made it clear to anyone who has messaged me that I have nothing to do with Ford (but obviously not clear enough). I will not post anymore images again from this forum. I just had lots of people ask for more teasers seeings Ford weren't doing anything which is turning people away thinking it's taking too long or whether it's not even happening (which we all know it is).

Once again guys, my apologies to you all and I've learnt my lesson.

Can we all just get along and move on?

Default Last EVER Falcon Picture & Discussion Thread

Back in the day the late great Geoff Polites himself posted on this forum as have many Ford employees both officially and unofficially. I think they knew of this forum well before Facebook, let alone your little group. A decent person who wanted to build the ford community would be linking the Facebook site to this forum.

Back on topic - what has ford confirmed as far as release date? Also any news on XR6T ute yet?

I don't think Bob Graziano has nearly anywhere near the passion for Ford Australia like Geoff, sad really. Was just reading my wheels 60th magazine and seeing the list of top Australian car presidents etc. The passion back then and competition was how it always should of been, now sadly it isn't :(

Uncy Geoff, Happy Jack, and quite a few others from different management areas spent an unheard of amount of time on the forums.
Those were the days.

What happens to these cars once they are through with them? Surely Ford could spare them from the crusher and keep/sell them as memorabilia, for the last time in history...

Hey guys, based on most of our viewings of the new 2014 Falcon and what we've seen so far, just would like to know what your perceptions are? And do you reckon it'll be enough to turn sales around?

My prediction:

-Sales spike on release, followed by a drop off to about 700-800 units a month.
-Nearing the end of 2016, might see a slight increase in sales as people rush to purchase the last of the breed
-I'd say dealer specials will be plentiful, no doubt they will want to cash in on 50 years of Falcons.
-There will be the usual negative comments and crap associated with the Falcon, magazines and people will whinge about the lack of self park, no black headlining or how the interior is bland, blah, blah.
-The people who bought one will be the ones with a smile on their face, and a tear and their eye.

Will there be a final procession of Falcon owners both old and new from all over the country, to farewell their birthplace in Broadmeadows/Campbellfield/Geelong in 2016 before it's doors close forever? Perhaps us forum members could organise this. We will only get one opportunity to do this.

Could try and go for a world record of largest gathering of a single nameplate( or something like that) as a way to commemorate the Falcon.
