Endless emails from Botophucket cautioning “Your account may be deleted”.
No tick-a-box reply to say “That’s fine; go right ahead.” …Commiserations on the chinotto, marty351. I’m assuming San Pellegrino isn’t to your taste. |

The last few years it's fallen on us to do extended family Christmas lunch, a bit over it. This year, neither of our adult kids can make it due to work, so it's cancelled. We're going to Singapore for 6 days over Christmas, somebody else can cook all the food, we'll eat it, then someone else can clean up and do the dishes.

Mate said the same thing about going to port Douglas in January for a holiday. Told him not to worry about finding a place with a pool: he'll be walking in one all day!

Two months ago someone kindly let loose polystyrene beads in a local street. Over several sessions/days I managed to pick up most (I think) of them. There would have been more than 2000, easily, based on a count I did of one pick-up session.
Now some f*****t has done it again, not far away, on a busier street. I don't think I will be doing the same pickup this time (manually), if at all, unless I buy a rechargeable dustbuster thing. And I see some very thoughtful and creative f*****t - could be the same one - has tied a bag of dogsh*t to the park fence. ***Would the cheapest rechargeable dustbuster I can buy do the job? Would it fill up too quickly and need to be emptied too often? |

I have a dyson vac stick and use it to vac up the beans that sometime escape the dog's bed. The only problem I have found with it is that, sometimes, some of the beads escape the cyclonic action via the inlet tube and can fall out. Particularly when the catcher gets on the full side. Heard on the radio the other week, a guy whose lot in life was to clean up a creek or river near him. He was determined to clean up every piece of rubbish he could find. He even committed to that when he found a significant number of polystyrene beads spread along the riverbank. he detailed how it took him longer to clean up that one pile of mess than it did the rest of the water body!!!!!

If you dont mind wasting an afternoon on hold getting transfered between departments, call the council and get them to send out the street sweeper. It wont pick up the crap on the nature strip but should pickup most the crap in the gutter.

This latest 'spill' seems to have left most of the beads stuck in the grass on the nature strip and not many in the gutter. That's pretty much what happened two months ago.
I have contacted the local council about quite a few other dumped-rubbish situations but this one would probably be a bridge too far for them. Foxtrot: thanks for that. I know I am not the only one out there doing it. There are even some celebrities who have done it. If I could make it happen, the perpetrator wouldn't be eating Rice Bubbles for breakfast. |

I’ve been trying to buy an AU Falcon radiator fan assembly that’s intact, unbroken - without paying exorbitant prices.
Having first been sent a B-series one in error, and now an AU unit that got broken in the post - this mission seems rather harder than it should be. |

Since Optus had their major meltdown two weeks ago, I have had more emails and text messages from them than I care to think about. Sorry this, we apologise that, how can we help you, we are upgrading the service in your area...............and on and on and on....................
Here's a thought, I pay you for a service, you deliver said service. Otherwise, leave me the hell alone.

I have a rego to pay next week.
On the 29th. Got a nice letter yesterday.....$556 for using an unregistered vehicle. Wtf? Yeah, rego was due on 29th of October. Expensive mistake. And I use this car everyday. How many more letters are on their way?! This offence was recorded on the 14th. Too many regos and dates to keep track of, was bound to happen eventually. Im normally good with this stuff but been extra busy lately and stuffed up...annoying but its on me. |
