It's a miniature "winglet design" copied from the Boeing 787 to control the air turbulence over the headlight so that less dirt sticks to the headlight surface.....

Is it an actual photo? Looks more like the standard render that Ford does for it's brochures.

going by the dirt/dust on the bumper, bonnet, and the reflection (in the headlight) of the horizon at sunset or whatever with powerlines or similar in the reflection too, i'd say it's a real photo

or just a very very very good render

I mentioned this before and this picture confirms it. Unlike the Fusion/Mondeo and other Fords that have a similar from grille setup, the Falcon top grill will protrude rather then be recessed.

Will be interesting to see how this looks in real like. But it does look pretty special just from that little sneak peak image.

Thanks Ford!

Anyone finding a negative in that pic is an idiot.

Saying that it looks like a Lancer is like saying that an XB looks like an HQ because they both have round headlights.

FG failed to impress me from day one, but that headlight looks amazing. Might be love at first sight again like BA Falcon. Makes the commondore look like a tarted up holden epicafail.

That's because the Commodore is a tarted up epicfail. The VF imo is a backward step looks wise from the VE.

This Falcon will wipe the floor with both of them.

VE looked okay because it appears to have drawn a lot of cues from BA falcon (blacked out headlights, curved edges, clean lines, conservative front bar) and Territory (pumped wheel arches, embedded circle/'afterburner' tail-lights from Ford R7 Territory Concept).
