Was called to a meeting with the Council scheduled for 9:30am till midday today.
I was there - no-one else turned up including the senior council officer who called the meeting! What a waste of time! :( |

I was recommended these jokers by a mate and they give me the big shafting. Find out that they charge from when they leave home to when job was over. It also included a 15min smoko which I knew nothing of and yet paid for.

My pet hate at the moment is the latest Budget Direct Insurance ads with the space man accosting his neighbour.
The previous campaign with the know-all lecturing old fart with his age inappropriate girlfriend complete with bad French accent was bad enough but these latest ones just make me want to throw something at the TV.

I also seriously hate the Youi Insurance ads narrated by the little preachy guy with the huge head. A "typical Aussie suburban street" I think not with all those very expensive looking houses and Euro SUV's everywhere.

Shoppers who walk around with their trolley full of stuff, get close to the register, or to some other random aisle and decide they no longer want that 3l bottle of milk, frozen dinner or tub of yoghurt and just leave it on the floor or hide it on a shelf because returning it to the fridge would be hard....
While working at Coles we would toss out $200 worth of room temp foods each night that we would find randomly strewn throughout the store during clean up....

Their recent feedback makes for some interesting reading... I wonder if the developers for the Domain app have worked out why there are more 1 star ratings than 5 star ratings yet?????

Harvey norman adds. Anyone would think we're in a night club!
Also, I hate when your "old school" stick welding. Ya' flip the lense up to ready for the next run, get the rod right next to what your gonna weld & ZAAAP! You make contact before ya' drop the lense. I hate when you unwrap a piece of chewing gum, then you almost put the wrapper in your mouth & nearly throw the gum in the bin! I also hate when you sneeze while chewing gum & it flies out of ya' gob! |

when you email two places, one being your local ford service centre, the other a performance specialist for a service and some advice and get no reply since last thursday
when you wait from nov 12 to sept 13 to get your phone line dug to the pit with telstra not showing 8 times to do it after ringing and making dates with them, and them not ringing back....to the stage of finally getting it done over two days and now they keep ringing twice a week (diff people each time) to book a time to get the digging done how on earth do these muppets make millions of dollars??

Going to Bunnings with a trailer to buy sheets of building materials and finding all the spots within the drive through yard taken by utes and small hatchbacks who's owners can't be found at all, so you park them in whilst you load your trailer, only to cop a spray from the hatchback owner when they return from the café and they put one 2.4M length of timber in the car................WTF??
Surely they can carry it out into the regular carpark?

Having an office potluck and asking for the recipe for a dish because it's just so yummy, only to be told "it's a secret" or "I don't share my recipes." Ok then, fine. But then the same person has a fit when I (and others) don't share recipes with that person. Fair's fair, right?

Was going to revive this tomorrow but may as well do it now ;)
Made several observations on my trip to Korea and Japan... * People who have a degree in winging about anything when it isn't needed. I stayed at a hostel in Osaka, and read up on some of the reviews: "Booked this place at the last minute, had the cheapest dorm in town but will only rate this place 2 stars out of 5 because the person at the front desk left me waiting 3 minutes" or "I had to wait 5 minutes for the shared shower and the water wasn't hot enough". Now, I have probably stayed in 50 hostels thus far and you get what you pay for... some tool knocked my Favourite hotel in Seoul because the steps were uneven.... Get over it... * The fact that we still need to vote using century old technology... * Finding my 'oversize' boxes at the other end of the terminal after waiting 45 minutes staring at an almost empty carousel waiting for them to emerge. Oh, they were checked in as regular baggage, were the same size as my other bag and half the weight... What fool decides they are 'oversize / excess'? Nice and safe, sitting on the floor with people walking around them... * The fact that no body bothers to actually check your bags for correct ownership as you exit the airport. You have bark / feathers / food they will call the feds and put you away for life... would it hurt to check the stickers against your boarding pass during the same process??? In Pakistan you cannot leave the terminal until you match the sticker on your bag to the one on your boarding pass... oh, they check it TWICE... * People that just don't read stuff. Send an email to someone to make an appointment "I'm only free W, X and Y afternoon after 3pm due to work commitments." and they reply, "Hey, don't suppose you are free Z morning at 9:30am?"... Feel better now....

Grrr..............never fails, there's always someone who doesn't read the entire email and then asks questions that I already addressed. Especially available meeting times. Grrr..............details, people, details are important.
Thanks, Yellow Festiva, glad to know I'm not the only one. |

Yay, it happens to The Interceptor too! I mean, how RUDE, right?
Went to eat at Chili's and our waitress wasn't very pleasant to start with. When I asked if I could have the cilantro pesto sauce on the side of my dish and I didn't hear her acknowledge my request, I asked again, "excuse me, would I be able to have the cilantro pesto sauce on the side?" That's nice, right I asked nicely. What does she say to me? "I heard you the first time." Ooooooh, ok. After that I wasn't sure what to say so I didn't say anything. After she left my bestie and my bff said, "you should have said something." Then I wondered if I should have. I guess - woulda coulda shoulda......after the fact aka Monday Morning Quarterback thoughts. Oh well, it is what it is, I wasn't about to let her ruin my fun lunch with my bestie. Lunch was good! |

When ashing out a cigarette and the ash lands on my skin instead of in the ash tray.
Geez! I hate that! Almost as bad as when I lit myself on fire... but not really.
