Hey guys just wanted to ask if anyone here did/does civil engineering or mechanical engineering? because im thinking of changing from my current architecture degree to one of those degrees.
I just wanted to know whether its really hard to get the degree (civil/mechanical), if the occupation is really hard, and if theres alot of demand for them because supposedly there isnt much demand for architects yet theres heaps of them walking about unemployed... they also get paid crap too and can get sued : . any advice would be appreciated.

There's surely more money in laying cables than being a birdy!

Ex Birdy here- Now Associate Engineer/Technical Writer in Aviation and Naval stuff. (hey "stuff" is a technical word:noun 1. matter, material, articles, or activities of a specified or indeterminate kind.).

You would think that they are qualified enough to identify that Fords are an inherent danger unto themselves.

IT here.
Just had a shite night with doing some stuff for work. Nothing went right and now I'll have to fix it up tomorrow morning with our vendor so 100 odd staff and probably 50 external clients can access the system.
Oh well, nothing I can do now until tomorrow...

I'm actually amazed that there is more of us nerds than mechanics on this forum. Cue Revenge of the Nerds theme...
