Hi all just bought my first turbo territory with mods of course. So I need a home base to learn all about such a beast.

Oh its way better than my vy 5.7 adventura and my old turbo subarus

Gday all. I've been lurking around for a while, thought its time to post my intro, since having recently bought my first real car and would like to be able to pick the brains of the knowledgeable heads that share their experience here!
We grew up in a ford house, Dad, having just finished his appenticship on the tools when i was born, had a green phase III shaker, followed by red XA GT coupe, (the earliest car i remember)family got bigger so the gt went, dad getting a courier ute and mum metallic blue XC Fairmont wagon 351 auto. Next up dad gets XE spac ute, which was the last ford he owned before passing away. mum yellow/white '82 Bronco 351 auto, followed by Spectron bus😦 then XF wagon followed by her (now current) xr6 sedan. Also mum and dad being one eyed Dick Johnson fanatics rubbed off on us 5 kids too!
Well its taken me til now (in my early 40s) to get a Ford myself. After a long line of Nipon import utes vand vans, a valiant and a Commer bus, plethora of bikes, I've bought an 1986 ex ambo. Its been a dream since i was on my Ls and mum had the Bronco, to get an F100, well its finally happened, it's not an F1 ute, but for our use, the ambo is better, as we'll be decking it out as a camper and also carry bikes about.
As far as plans go for the old girl, want to get her running dual fuel again, currently running dedicated lpg. Nothing too drastic to the donk, want to have it out by the end of the year to plumb up the leaks, haven't cleaned yet to see where the oil's coming from, but there's a lot of it, probably multiple gaskets. Replace all missing sensors, butchered and loose wiring. General freshen up, with all new consumables. Major moves, depending on finances, (and depending on what's already installed) will be GT40ps for the top and possibly stroke the bottom. Then early next year pull the C6 and bung TCI 6 pinion planetary and bearings in it, and a Gear Vendors splitter behind it.
Before/in/around that, bare metal bodywork, new resomat thu engine bay and cabin, new gauges/instrument panel/uhf/stereo etc, carpet, caramel leather buckets, deck out the back to berth the mrs, daughter, and self for a trip to Darwin and back, then round Tassie.
So yeh, thats me, and the gist of what's doing with the bullnose, my apologies for the long wind! Looking forward to the insights of you other Aussie Ford folk to make up for the massive holes in my own comprehension! Cheers, Chris

Hi all, have had quite a few Fords over the years. My BF is starting to act up but still goes great and somehow gets us where ever we're going.

Hi all,
Glad to be on such an informative forum!

I currently own two Fabulous Fords!
One 2006 Black XR8 Ute and a 2004 RTV.
Question to RTV owners............ Where can I find a right hand fender flare
and OEM front mudflaps?
I have been chasing these items for a while now and cannot source them from any wreckers.
Assistance would be welcome.
Cheers
Martin

Welcome to AFF Martin. Did you know that there's a dedicated RTV forum in the Utes and Vans area?

Hi all, Drew here and happy to be part of the Ford Forum. My pride and joy is a 1995 Ford Fairlane GHIA with 8 cylinders, had this vehicle since 2009 and has only just hit 170K.
I'm currently having issues with ACC, keeps switching on and off and sometimes won't even turn on. I'm having an auto-elec look for the problem at the moment, might have a bad earth somewhere.
Anyway, it's good to be here...... Cheers!!!

G'day all!

Glad to be here! I'm now the proud owner of a pre-loved 2006 BF Falcon XT wagon (model 18363). It's a bright blue - looks like Paint Code CN "Conquer" from the technical data link - bonus! And runs pretty well for an almost-teenager.

Your forums have already helped me solve an annoying quirk - a chime and the dash showing an "S". Bloke who sold me the car said "that's a reminder the car needs a Service, but it doesn't" and tried to clear it by fiddling with the trip meter. But of course he failed, since we all know (man, I'm so smart now I'm here! ) that the "S" and chime mean you've gone over-Speed. And that the quick fix is to hold the Mode lever in for 3 seconds. Done!

G'day folks.
Skellibert saying hi.
Just drove my new 2000 mondeo st24 home on a permit.
Now to get it inspected and hopefully licenced fairly soon.
Paid low $ for a cosmetically slightly rough but mechanically solid v6 manual mondeo.
I will be looking for all sorts of info, and hopefully can also provide some.
Barely even call myself a backyard mechanic, but I manage ok.

Call me Dave or Skelli, just don't call me late for dinner.

Hello Everyone. I don't own a Ford but I'm planning a street rod build and am strongly considering using a Barra 6 as powerplant. I'm designing the car in cad and was wondering if anyone knows of a cad model being available for the Barra 6 or some decent drawings and some key dimensions whereby I could create my own. Cheers.

Always a 351 fan not saying 302s werent bad either.

Hi ... thanx for adding me.
Hope that there are knowledgeable Ford lovers out there that can help plebs like me.

I have a Mondeo 2010 station wagon that has suddenly developed a few electrical problems ... possibly caused by the rat I found (now deceased). It got in via a speaker bin from my band. The rear drivers side lights (tail, brake, indicator) don't work and the airbag warning light is on permanently.

I have been trying to locate and purchase online, a workshop manual or electrical diagram of the car, but am not sure if what I've seen online is the correct one. Any help to find the correct book will be appreciated.

Thanx ... have a good day!!!:

Hello Karl here Western Australia, just bought a car I have always wanted to own, a Fairlane G220, in the 1990s in New Zealand owned a 1977 Ford Falcon XC standard, 6 cly, 3 speed auto, then in 2015 owned a 1998 EL Fairlane 5 litre for while.
Now own the beast.
Very pleased with it.
I want to meet and chat to other Fairlane owners here in Western Australia and across the nation.
