Hi All
I am new to this site and I go by the post of Greg T. I have an AU 2 Futura Wagon which gives me fun.I am currently trying to work out why the clock will not illuminate. the globes are fine as is power to and from the unit.I have tried three clocks and they all do the same thing. I have been to an auto electrician and even he could'nt work out what was wrong. If anybody has any suggestions they would be welcome

There is a problem with the thick insulating coat to the back of the printed circuit board. Essentially it stops the contacts of the globe unit from touching satisfactorily. I solved it on mine by building up the contact areas of the circuit board carefully with solder - about 1/4mm thick.

Found out they have broken earth circuits but are repairable at reasonable cost.

James here, just purchased a mint Magnet 260 Boss, manual, low km. Have arranged for a full exhaust and K&N replacement filter in the next week. I'm sure this has been asked a million times and please feel free to direct me to the thread, are any of these eBay flash tunes any good? I'm just looking for more useable torque (and I've heard all the jokes about ditching the v8 for the 6 turbo).

I owna 2003 BA FORD FAIRMONT and I need help finding the MAF sensor and a picture of what it looks like. What tools would I need.
Also the air bag on the bottom left hand corner comes on when engine is started.It blinks 4 times then pause then 5th blink. does it again 3 repeats and then it stays on permanently.

I need coffee, the ba needs hot water poured on its computer (google told me to do that and it works) but a better solution might be good. Hey all my name is Rosco, i have away from the car scene for too long now my son is my motivation to get back to it.. I am currently working on a 08 fg xr6 and as crazy as it sounds I am about to start building a n/a motor with the aim of 350+rwhp then once i achieve my mark then I will add a blower and happy gas.

No im not stupid but i am nuts 15yrs ago i built a manual vn v6 wagon n/a that went 287rwhp and ran 13.3s... I know i could just be like everyone else take the easy path n go turbo but i love to be different.

Any advice, knowledge, encouragement and direction will be appreciated alot. U can call me crazy all ya like vause to me thats just like another barra turbo

I'm Nigel from N/E Victoria,I recently purchased a 2003 BA XL Utility with 284,000 km's on the clock,despite the relatively high mileage it runs beautifully ,was a fleet vehicle which was regularly dealer serviced and had timing chains replaced about 50,000 km's ago,there are a few scratches as you would expect in a 16 year old vehicle but for $1800 I think I got a good deal,she is very comfortable to ride in and drives really quietly,all in all I could not be happier.

I have seen and heard this unit running about 15 years ago

How reliable are the 3.0Lt engines? I have read about the EGR problem but apparently mine has had a blank done.

Hi. I have just returned to the Ford fold. I had XD & XF Falcons and a ZD Fairlane , followed by 66 and 64 Galaxies in the 80s and 90s.
I now have a 97 EL XR8. I am not planning any mods other than bigger wheels.

Well having just bought a 2002 4x4 Ranger here in Thailand to be my workhorse during a full home reno plan. Picked it up for a good price but like all thai's, the don't maintain their vehicles well. I am really happy with the overall condition but finding lots of little things that I can do with the limited knowledge I have. Hopefully that is where you guys might be able to help and it will be appreciated.
I have owners manual (useless) but would like the workshop manual if anybody can help. My first job will be replacing the timing belt as I cannot confirm last change (now 240kms). All the usual stuff already done.
