Didn't think I would be, from what I have seen in the past, I think its a random out of the hat thing to make it look like they are doing something extra for the worker, the young ones are fooled anyway.
Seeing the place turns over a minimum of $500,000+ a month and at least $150,000 of that is profit, not complaining but I bet the $50 gift card hurt them . |

When i was an apprentice i got apprentice of the year for the 4 years. At the same mob i also won apprentice of the year for the next 10 years as a tradesman. That part was the joke, but when the apprentices would ask the boss why i won apprentice of the year as a tradesman, his response was simple. No apprentice since has had as high marks at tafe as i did.

Yep, more money than they know what to do with, more property than they know what to do with, and more businesses than they know what to do with.
But don't bother about asking for a pay rise, they reckon there are plenty of people waiting for your job, that sort of family business. |

And let me guess, they expect you to work like you are family, as in let the business fully consume you and be your number one priority at all times, night or day 24/7. But, you don't get the "perks" of being the "family" of the family business, and the thanks you get for your efforts is to be "gifted" a pay cheque each week. And because you are not family, it's easier to blame you for every oversight rather than upsetting the family dynamic, even if they know it wasn't you. Ask me how I know this.

What healing? all the people I know including myself never debated the topic, never wanted to discuss it, business as usual for myself and I hope the government just moves on and addresses the real issues that fronts this country. Cheers. |

Had an enjoyable afternoon “mining” my way into a crashed engine bay. Eventually got the debris out, looped the cooling system and resealed the power steering return. Sliced the airbags off and car suddenly was quite driveable again.

The only reason I wouldn’t like Albanese to resign is because that questionable Shorten would try to get the job. Then we would find out how to stuff a country in record time

Dare I say it, Potato Dutton is looking better as time goes on, he's got the political appeal of refrigerator mold, but in increasingly trying times both locally and globally, Australia needs based politics and not a "feel good" petting zoo. |

Final day of Drag Challenge.
Huge turn out, lots of cars, new strip and venue is very impressive. Saw a 7.07s pass. Only negative comment was an hour lining up/waiting for $20 chicken and chips. Got burnt stuck in the line. Shoulda brought lunch like the missus did. |

I’ve got small Channellock end-cutters, some old German pincers, larger but chipped Knipex sidecutters, and metal snips - so the short term contingencies are probably covered.
Off to Dapto shortly. |
