Hi guys I am onto my 5th Ford vehicle. Current drive is Territory sz titanium AWD diesel.
I owned a 1976 Ford escort GL,a 1983 Cortina ute,a 2003 BA Ford Falcon,Territory 2006 Awd.

Thanks for accepting me to the forum. My reason for joining is that I have a 1997 Ford longreach panel van I
that I am driving through South East Asia at the moment and looking for some like-minded Souls to help me if I have any mechanical issues or advice on running repairs. I have done about 10000 k so far from the top of Timor-Leste. Presently on the border of Malaysia and Thailand.
The issues I have had so far is that I put a outback diff in the rear and also raised the front suspension and put Toyo Open Country on the rims. The diff is starting to shudder a bit so I have changed the oil from 80 w140 down to 80w90. Otherwise it's going great that and look forward to get some positive feedback. Cheers

G'day. Bathurst tragic and old ford fan from way back. My cars - 1st car was a Customline, then a Cortina, XW GT (I loved that car), XY Ghia Station Wagon, XE Ghia sedan, Courier Dual cab, ED XR6, F250 and SY AWD Ghia Territory. Don't know why they stopped making the Territory. It's an excellent car to drive, reliable and safe. Probably fuel. Could've replaced the best 6 ever built I suppose. Anyway now looking for my next (and possibly last) Ford. Cheers.

Cheers people, Ive owned many Fords from a fully done up XB panel van back in the day to a lowly 6cyl TC Cortina. My last oval badge was an XA GT that had been crashed so many times the only option was to rebody it. Thats gone on to a collector now and I drive a (gasp) Toyota ute. Now days I repair bodywork and fords are a common fixture in my shed, currently doing an XA 2 door with a lot of rust (surprise, surprise)

Been lurking a while on here, but finally will be participating properly as I have just got an AU XR6 ute with numerous small issues to sort out on it. Already done the drivers door window reg and lock with cheap parts, which was easy enough. Now to track down a few nagging electrical gremlins and get everything working.

My daughter & I are putting back together a 78 CL Charger (265 Auto) and I have taken a liking to the 6GE seats which drew me to your fine forum. I am adapting the seat bases and electrics to lift the comfort level. The XR seats being a popular upgrade for some Valiants.
I look forward to getting another piece of Aussie Iron onto the bitumen and seeing some of you out there.

Hello all read a lot but first time writing something I need help
EB ford Fairmont pulled the dash out to fix the heater now put it back in electronic cluster the hole car lights up even the doors flash every thing works until you open the door inertia lights on turn on the parkers /head lights on the dash lights and clock, heater dim that much you struggle to see them . :No pinched wires I have had the dash out 3 times earths are connected help me please

I have a question for the group. I recently rode off my 2010 fg gt lm gutted. I was driving 1.5hrs to work doing 12hr of scaffolding then 1.5hrs home after 6 weeks wasnt sleeping right, fatigued, thought l had forgotten my swipe card to get on site started looking around the car, saw it in passenger foot well reached over to make sure..... didn't see a grey car parked under a tree no street light near by.....that was not usually there, that was a bit futher out than hard up to gutter at 4:30am & well....hit it..gutted.

Bent chassis rail... body finished.
But the motor, supercharger & running gear all undamaged, happened within 5 minutes of starting up, because l wasn't warming it up at that hour of morning just start let oil pressure build & idle away so as not to wake the neighborhood.
I'm not trying to do a shifty & make a new GT but l would like to transplant the engine & running gear into another fg.....l see stock 6 cylinders going for around $10 G.

The question is will the engine & running gear just be a swap over? Granted l will need to change some mounts & other things but in general will it fit?

My grandfather passed his 63 XL onto me was considering putting it in it, but again will it all fit & l dont really want to chop any part of that car.

Or getting a Shelby Cobra kit car & slotting it in it?

But the fg seems to be cheapest to make use of the motor & running gear?

Hi all, I am hoping someone can help me out. I have a 1999 AU Falcon ute with starting problems. The neutral start switch has been replaced and start relay works fine. I am trying to trace the pink wire from the starter motor that runs back into the distributor and where it gets its feed from to start. Having no luck with Ford helping out. cheers
