Yep, true. I don't know anybody who has been sick, yet alone died from this "COVID crap". So it all has to be one big con. Like the many 'intelligent' people have been saying all along.

And here we have the 'intelligent' people I was referring to.

They can hardly read and write English, most come from a non-English speaking background, probably never finished high school, got peanuts for a brain, and here they're trying to tell everyone to "wake up!".

These people are the perfect subjects for the COVID conspiracy theorists to do their dirty work for them. Stupid, easily gullible morons.

Here's an idea. How about we leave the medical theory stuff to the people who studied at uni for 8 odd years instead random dickheads.

David Limbrick is one of the crossbench MPs opposing the extention of SOE legislation - he has a 12 tweet thread on his reasons, I found this the most interesting

They are not.

The Prime Minister is questioning is questioning the Vic Governments (and others ) handling, and if questioned properley you are not branded.

People like those protesting and saying things like Covid is caused by 5g cell towers or that it doesn't even exist are the questioners being branded.

Not quite. A polynomial trend-line is a statistical model that is used when data fluctuates, particularly across a large data set. The order is simply determined by the number of times the data fluctuates.

123 new cases for Australia and 11 deaths sees the CMR rise to 2.380% while active drop to 3,943. NSW recorded 7 cases, Queensland recorded 4 cases with the balance in Victoria which was back up in triple digits again.

2 new cases and 0 deaths for NZ so CMR is 1.272% and active cases remain at 137.

The UK had 1,715 new cases and as we know they are now not counting their mortalities by the WHO guidelines we are going to ignore those figures.

Just over 43k new cases in the USA yesterday and 954 deaths sees CMR drop to 3.044% and active cases drop to 41.4% with the raw numbers still rising. Note that the USA is actually minus one day due to time differences.

Other notable points:
Global deaths pass 850k with the last 100k taking nine days;
India completes 41M, Turkey 7M and the UAE 7M tests;
Asia recorded a new high for daily cases with 103,709;
South America passes 200k deaths;

Nepal (1,221) and India (79,457) were the only countries to record new daily highs; those in blue for the second consecutive day and those in red for a third or more consecutive day.

Here are the growth rates for global new cases and deaths.

At the current rate, we are going to reach 32M cases and 1M deaths by about the 26th September - but of course it's all a hoax

The analysis finds that since 26 June, the number of unemployment benefit recipients in Victoria rose by about 27,600, or 7.2%, with more than half of this occurring in the three weeks ending 21 August.

According to a brief circulated by the government, Treasury analysis of data from the Commonwealth Bank shows Victoria has seen a large decrease in household spending growth relative to the rest of Australia since the lockdown restrictions were re-imposed.

The analysis says growth in discretionary spending in Victoria was as low as around minus 40% through the year in mid-April, before improving to be around minus 5% through the year in mid-June as restrictions were eased. After the second wave reversal, growth in discretionary spending has fallen to about minus 45% through the year.

Melbourne has been harder hit than regional Victoria. Unemployment benefit recipients have increased by between 7-8% in Melbourne since the onset of restrictions, compared to 3% in the regions.

Huge loss in discretionary spending

Yeah but to be considered employed you only need to work 1 hour a week.

Underemployment statistics would probably be more accurate and then look at this broken down by age group.

This really effects youth and anyone working the 'gig economy'.

It's 'business as usual' in Melbourne's industrial estates just with fancy dress and a couple less staff.

Yeh, unemployment vs effective unemployment. In the US they call it unemployement vs real unemployement If one is real then the other one is fake?

Curious on where business owners sit. Those that own a business, would you rather a re-opening plan now that has a 50% certainty rate, or wait another week and have say a 80% certainty rate?

Also interested to hear more of Scomo's traffic light system. Sounds good in theory. Does that mean we can lock and lift on a weekly/monthly basis based on stats? How would business owners feel about that? Maybe we can test it in the lga of HUME

COVID outbreak at Couriers Please depot servicing Tullamarine region.

If you've got freight going couriers please it's not being picked up or delivered today in this region, best send via alternative methods.

The Age did a good story that stated that Melbourne employment was down 3% while the regions were up 4%

Anyway

GTFO part 1:

GTFO part 2, coastal edition:

Regions will crank coming out of this.

To keep on topic, there is some interesting discussion about Covid (or the lack of) on the DeepInsideTheRabbitHole.com (https://stoplookthink.com/)

Keeping it short due to topic but flat earth and the moon discussion is interesting, do you have a Thread on that ? not sure what the title would be

Oh dear. AMA, Nurses Union, Ambos have all come out in support of a 12 month extension. But its looking like a 6 month extension will pass.

Are all the lockdowns and restrictions over the top?
Of course they are, but what's the alternative?

If there was a device that we could all wear that could immediately identity the presence of corona virus, and and we all carried respirators for such an event, then presumably we'd all be able to go about our business, and covid would still be eradicated in very short time.

But such a device doesn't exist. By the time somebody tests positive and gets their results, they would already have spread it to dozens if not hundreds of others. So the only way forward is precautions.

We're doing ok in WA, because reality is we don't have covid here. A few people bring it in from elsewhere, but mostly they have been contained. But if we do get it, and get community transmission, then we'll be back in the same boat as Victoria.

Yes its a ****er. Yes its costing jobs, and money, and people's mental health.
But what's the damn alternative?

One thing is for sure, if a symptom of having COVID was grape size, pus filled boils on your face, everyone would be behaving differently. The possibility of you, or someone you know being hospitalised, or even dying doesn't even matter, just the thought of having an 'ugly face' would make people think and act different.

Self-absorption, egotism and vanity is now the guiding norm of society.

Hi 'not so crazy dazz', can't we just ask everyone to do the right thing ?

Real time is too late, already spread. Franco done a good thing by spreading an observation today.
How to make that a wider info spread (as a start) ?

Before the adverse reactions start, the 41 deaths recorded today in Victoria only include 8 from yesterday with the remaining 33 having been delayed reporting, mostly from aged care facilities, some going as far back as late July. I'm not sure if they will go back and update the daily counts or if it's just going to be a statistical anomaly on the charts.
