Just about any supercharger can be fitted to this manifold. However, if the replacement compressor is much more wider than the 2.6lt KB, then you will have to modify the fuel rail, or replace with aftermarket one. The KB 2.8 big bore will fit no probs, but even the 2.6 KB used on this kit is hardly working!!!!! To help keep costs down, the kit utilizes as many standard components as possible. Also, the top of this KB blower is actually lower than the standard intake manifold. Once again, if you decide to replace the supercharger with one that is much higher, you may need to modify the bonnet. The point here, is the manifold will accept just about anything. Making it fit under the bonnet ''MAY'' be the issue. Hope this answers a few queries. Regards AGRO. |

Im not sure how to measure it, but there is INSTANT tyresmoke in all gears in our test cars, so if its dragging power, cannot feel it.

The 2.8 is only good if you are going to run it at 20 plus pounds, less boost makes them a little inefficient. (logged data shows.) The 2.6 will still destroy any driveline currently availible. If someone proves me wrong when they buy my kit and build an "unbreakable" driveline, i'll upgrade them to the 2.8 and i'll absorb the price difference. The difference between the 2.3 whipple and 2.6 KB is bigger than you guys think.

Great work Chris... Videos are a must, so hurry up... My mind boggles to think what sort of ET and MPH you will rip out with this kit under your bonnet....
Do you think a 9sec is achievable Blower and motor for 20k is awesome value and very cheap for the amount of HP your getting... One question tho, it that for a intercooled version or non intercooled..... |

Chris said in another thread a while back that his kit Incooled kit was going to retail for the same or less as the oppositions Kits with no cooler, he seems to have come through with his promise, which is great as it makes this whole P/D supercharger thing affordable for more people and it looks to be a kit better that the others out there...Hows that for a one two punch! |

Great work Chris. The blower kits for the BOSS only appear to be getting better and the price looks excellent as well. Well done to all those involved.

Hey Chris, this is awesome to see. Cant wait to see it hitting the steets. If what you say about the price being less than 20k for a built motor and charger this would definately be something i would have to consider very seriously

Not to mention much less chance of belt slip and more KW @ the wheels for free. I have now lost all interest in turboing the BOSS. Last edited by Jason50; 27-04-2007 at 11:13 PM. Reason: more thoughts... |

A turbo should give more RWKW for a given stress on the motor since it is not taking power directly from the crank to drive. Now for 15KW or whatever the blue power blower takes at 6PSI I just don't care about turbos anymore. From what I have heard with a turbo full boost from around 2000RPM should have a very good torque curve too. Having an auto I would never be out of the 'zone'. |

Paul and I spent countless hours switching from 1.8 Eaton to 2.3 whipple, to 2.6 Kenne Bell on one of our test cars. Various boost levels, and we were able to run same boost on each charger, controlled test conditions. All our power differences were recorded. This is just a small piece of the hundreds of hours of data we have logged. All our work and knowledge that we speak of here is brought to you by all that hard work. Hard work pays off mate, wait until one of these things see's the strip, if we can keep it straight lol |
