This is classic stuff guys! As a radiographer, i get to see this sort of thing often and i would love to show a few xrays which would blow your mind, but due to my better judgement, they will stay at work.

Yeah I forgot about that one. Not fractures but have had most of a disc sliced out and another one that sticks out to give me hell from time to time.

Knife in the back.
Doing the right thing isn't always the besting to do.

One night i was walking back to my car many years back and a couple were having a blue, she had locked her self in. But when i arrived one of his mates told me to stay out of it, I just wanted to get to my car which was right next to them, he walked away with his mates as i approached. I thought it was all over.

But it wasn't, next i knew he was inside over her punching her lights out, she must have let him in or he did, I don't even know how he got it. Instinct took over, his mates didn't even try to stop me initially. I pulled him out of the car and had a "scuffle" the 1 on 1 soon turned to 3 on 1. Somewhere the knife got pulled and before i knew it the police were there breaking it up.

The knife had broken at the base of the handle just leaving 4 of the 10cm blade sticking out.
It was wedged between my ribs and shoulder blade.
I do have a picture somewhere, I'll have to scan it in sometime.

End result:
Me, 2 stitches and a few weeks of shoulder pain and a Thankyou.
The guys girlfriend had a broken nose, cheekbone and blackened eyes.
The guy had a few bruises and some time to think about what he had done.

Next time, I think ill just call the

Its not worth the pain and the time with police and courts, which is also a pain...

Sorry for laughing dude but "Torsion of the Testes" does have a funny ring to it.

I'm sure you weren't laughing though. What the hell causes something like that?

Those members of this Forum that know me will know that I am not bullsh*ting, but in 1988 I had a head on with a VK Commo wagon that was being chased by a NSW highway patrol car. I was riding a brand new Honda Transalp motorcycle. I hit the Commo dead centre of the bonnet and flew off the bike through the windsceen killing the driver as I broke his neck with the force of my body. I then rolled into the rear of the wagon and hit the rear door so hard that it was forced open and I spilt out onto the road behind the Commo. That was not the end of it, as the highway patrol car was so close to the Commo, it then drove over me and I ended up stuck under the police car. I was very lucky that this accident happened 300m from a military hospital in Ingleburn NSW. My list of Injuries included;
Fractured skull,
Fractured pelvis,
Ruptured (exploded) right nut
Amputated (and re-attached) old fella, Great Pub fodder and a top scar
Dislocated & fractured R wrist
Fractured L arm & wrist
Fractured R femur x 3 places
Fractured R Tibular & Fibular
Liz Frank Fracture/Dislocation R Ankle
Puntured & Deflated R lung

I lost about 4L of blood in about 3mins and they got me to the emergency room in the hospital within 10 mins, which saved my bacon.
As it turned out the idiot in the Commo was a drunk illegal migrant that ran a RBT and was being chased by the police.
Wrong place at the wrong time. I would post up some interesting scars, but I'm sure the mods wouldn't like them.
Regards and be safe,

I think you're winning so far

Having a nut explode on you is bad enough but losing the eight-dayer and getting in sewn back on takes the cake. I'm guessing you weren't allowed porno's for a while lol

Funny you should mention that. When I woke from my induced coma, after 3 months, there was an Army nurse that was trying to give me a copy of penthouse. I had no idea what she was on about as she was saying things like "go on see if it works" : Then it was expalined to me the extent of my injuries and it hit home what she was ranting on about. The good thing about being induced for so long, was the surgeons had plenty of time to get my leg as straight as possible without me using the leg or moving about.
It was a further 3 months before I could start walking again and another 3 months of rehab before I left the hospital. I have since had another 13 operations to repair ligament damage and remove pins & plates ETC ETC.
Regards SP-UTE1

Yep....SP Ute 1 your winning so far....and it going to take being shot multiple times or stepping on a land mine and living to tell the tale to beat you.

Not sure what you win though....

That Army Nurse bit is funny - She wants to see if your old fella works but just waves a magazine around? sheeesh she didn't try very hard. I can think of at least three other things she could have done to test you....

All i got to say about SP-UTE1's accident is... WOW

And that your so lucky, Makes mine seem irrelevant.

I guess we both similarly lucky to walk away with our scars and lives, Especially yourself.
Any little move or angle to another way could have ended it all... Or prevented it.
