And DO IT!!

Don't let the political correct morons cripple and take over your country(s) like they have Canada!!! This year they tried to ban Christmas trees in public buildings. They've banned the Lord's Prayer in schools along with the National Anthem!!! (Yet my kids' school still do it....hmmm) They are now banning the Lord's Prayer in our chambers of government because our immigrants are offended!

They even changed the word of the National Anthem years ago for the Feminists so it didn't refer to "our son's"!!

I'm not real patriotic myself but if they were banning our flag (which wouldn't surprise me!) I'd start wearing one! It's this crap here which makes me want to move there, but now I've started wondering if it's any better?

What was actually said was flags on the wooden sticks would not be allowed to avoid a repeat of incidences where the stick was used as a weapon.

Odd of media to change the facts to stir up the the old "changing our values" garbage.

I understood this was based on certain people who brought their war from their country to yours. The media may have "incited" this to stir it up but if you guys aren't careful it could LEAD in future to an actual ban! Nothing suprises me anymore. And I was wrong. My daughters' school no longer has the Lord's Prayer either!

We had a judge remove a Christmas tree from a courthouse this Christmas because she felt it offended other cultures yet she wanted THEIR holiday and religious tokens displayed!

Ironically our "cultural" community was calling into the news saying they were NOT offended at all!! Our Muslim community leaders even said this was CRAP!! A Case of some middle aged white female politically correct politician inciting hate towards our "visible minoritys"!!(I bet she never saw it THAT way!) Even our Premier for the province took a shot at her!

It almost gives me hope but I fear it's too little too late as Canada is already down the toilet.

Best of luck on this my friends.

There was a thread like this one earlier on in the week and it got closed pretty quickly, why hasn't this one it has the same content. Oh well while it's hear I'm glad to see so many Aussie flying the flag weather it flying on their car or outside their house or wearing it to the Big Day Out. Good to see there's alot of support just in this thread because the one eariler in the week I was getting critisized about supportting the Australian flag. I was starting to wonder if I click onto some other forum and not AUSTRALIAN ford forum. So all I have to say after all of that is AUSSIE! AUSSIE! AUSSIE! OH ! OH ! OH !

I DO like this though!

I wish MY fellow countrymen had the balls to do something similiar! But if I wore a T-shirt with this and a Canadian flag I would be called racist and probably arrested for "promoting hate". Believe it or not!!

The passages in the Bible that refer to gay people have been banned here and if a Priest/preacher/minister/etc utters them can be arrested! (Off topic but shows just how bad political correctness has gotten here!)

Here, if some people (say one or two) are "offended" we change the laws just for them! (Unless you're born here, then you're racist!)

It's sad to see Canada folding to all this politically correct garbage too. Both our countries have strong culture and traditions that will soon not exist unless a few people stand up and voice their opinion (even by wearing a T shirt!) Just think of what our grandparents who risked their lives for our freedom of speech would think of all this nonsense!

That's why I post this. As a warning. Once they get a toe hold, you're finished. And like I posted, here at least it's not the, say, Muslim community that starts the trouble. It's some WHITE politician who thinks something MIGHT offend the Muslims! And what happens?

We have a friend who's a very sweet, VERY nice Muslim lady. Wears the veil, etc. But does no harm to anyone. Drives her kids to school in a minivan, etc.

She has adapted to our society. As a matter of fact she and her 4 kids are coming here Sunday for my oldest's 7th birthday party. My wife merely asked her if there were any dietary concerns based on her religion. Juat common sense.

2 weeks ago she was getting her youngest out of their minivan and noticed a set of headlights come REAL close to her and had to push the stroller with her baby out of harm's way!! She then recognized the driver as this guy that's been giving her dirty looks for months. And her husband works out west so isn't there to protect her.

My wife told me about this clown awhile ago. I told her it's because she's Muslim. I also had to explain this to a friend of ours from Costa Rica as she couldn't understand the concept of WHY someone would do that based on race! But like I told her, they DO!!

That IS racism! But the politically correct are so busy IMAGINING offense that they can't do ANYTHING about the real problem! People who hate will always hate. We can't legislate that out of them no matter how hard we try.

To accept another culture is just that. To "ACCEPT" Not to "bow down to"!! (Political Correctness)

Has any of the crap that is made law here helping our friend? Not a bit.

Take it as a warning and be proud of your country. You ARE the country that Canada PRETENDS to be! Please stay that way. Don't let the "P.C. Police" make voicing your opinion illegal!

Ooops. tangent.....

(Strangely enough I was recently called a racist......by a girl from Geelong!!!!)

Lets be proud Australians for the other 364 days of the year too... Racism and bigotry has no place in our multi cultural society!.

WE should be entitled to like and dislike facets of society, that is human nature, but some people take it too far, so very Un-Australian..

Well. I'd love to win the lotto and move there. LOL.

I'll tell you THIS. The LAST thing I'd expect would be for Australia to bend to me. (Like it could!! It's broken tougher guys than me, just look at the time Charles Todd had putting in the telegraph all those years ago!!)

Whether I moved to Victoria or Tasmania or wherever, I'd not expect "favours"!! I'd just like to raise my kids and be left alone and maybe one day travel a time or two North of Adelaide towards Darwin. (Strangely enough my youngest was born in Palmerston here which was Darwin's name for awhile..LOL)

Nope. I'd just want to see if you guys have cheesburgers (My favourite and a staple!) and if not, I guess I'd have to find an alternative. (Den's legislation- "The GIVE ME A CHEESEBURGER DAMMIT" law. MWAHAHAHAHAA!!)

I like what I see in Australia and why the Hell would I want to change the things that make it what it is? Strange people, these demanders!!

I love Australia and the flag but it's like we're not allowed to, because we might offend someone. It sounds rediculous but when you think of it, it's true. Just because I love our country doesn't mean I hate non Australians. I love my kids because they're mine doesn't mean I hate all other kids dose it! We should be proud to be Australian if we lose that then how can anybody else be proud of us. What I'm try to put across is Political Correctness is not the why to go. Being Australian is being able to have joke with mates without worring about offending somebody. 20 years ago none of this would have even been discussed. So why has it changed? Its always the minorty that ruins it for the majorty.

You put it exactly perfectly. The P.C. Police think if you don't agree with every word they spout off then you MUST hate them! You MUST be AGAINST them, mustn't you? Otherwise you'd be on THEIR SIDE!!

"WHY DO YOU HATE US?" they cry. And don't get it when we reply that we don't hate them, we just DON'T CARE what they think! "Oh, so you ARE against us?"

Um , no. I just could care less about your "opinions"

"AHAH!! So you HATE US!!"

Nooo, I just don't really admit to your existance. You live your life and I'll live mine and if we never meet again, who cares?

"You're just jealous!!"

Huh? I really don't want to continue this conversation. I DON'T CARE what you think. PERIOD!

"So you hate us?".............

ARGH!!!!!!!!!!

Like the bloody Amerikans. "If you're not with us, you're against us!" P*** off!

I would say only put a Australian flag on an Australian made car if you want to. No foriegn/import cars should be wearing the flag as they are not supporting the Aussie car industry. Simply Sending a rightful message to all.

And chief did say unto his minions "bring me two of every animal".

Healthy looking BBQ there chief. Us aussies might not be able to unite under one flag, worship at the one building or go 5 minutes without getting offended by someone... but putting a spark to a tank full of LPG? Unity in its purest form!

In a country of 20 some odd MILLION people 7 deaths isn't even really a number! Idiots!

Some moron parent lets their kid slam into the side of a Community Centre and we responsible parents get MORE legislation to deal with!!

I don't even agree with Bicycle helmets so I'm biased but when we got THAT law I said "This is just the start, soon we'll be forced to wear them to WALK!!"

Looks like we're heading just that way!!!!

Hey DEN
I hear what you saying and thats great but my real reason for posting this topic was just to see how many people would be cruising around with the flag on their car.
This wasn't intended to be a political rant and I apoligise if you misinterprited that.
Keep up the good work.

there's nothing wrong with flying the aussie flag...whatever makes you happy.... but in my opinion it is ugly and not unique like it should be...the aussie flag should be the aboriginal flag

Replacing the Union Jack with the aboriginal flag would be ok.

And before some of you start saying diggers fought with that flag, yes they should be revered, but they arent the only members of Aus society.
