everyone, feel free to voice your opinion, thats the point of this damn forum.
the time was good, the setup could use some improvements, and i'm sure he knows that.

constructive critisism is what makes the world go round.
i made my bodykit myself, do you think everyone said 'well done, looks great'
no they didnt, but do i care?
no
if you post on a forum, expect both positive and negative feedback.
i *hope* my car runs a mid 13 one day, i'll go about it differently (don't even start) but thats my aim.

Last night these w@nkers were laughing at me all night about running 16's and when I went up to one of them and said go and get your car scrutineered he shut up very quickly

Mate, I hope your car runs the numbers you hope for. I know how hard it is to give it everything you have and how good it feels to acheive your goal/s and also know the sinking feeling of when something doesn't go to plan.

the idea is to simply ignore it.
my car *should* run faster then it does.
but it doesnt, who knows why.
you're never going to please everyone, to learn to ignore those people.
if they offer advice, either ignore it or take it.
its your choice.

i assume your car was at calder last night too then?
doesn't it have 180rwkw or something?
any idea why it was under performing?

It currently looks very similar to the car in your avatar, only much much worse

It also looks remarkably like the one in my avatar

wow, i didnt know my thread would cause such debates, to the people saying its getting underfuelled, it IS running stock injectors, with a walbro high flow fuel pump, and a rising rate reg, it is gettin a perfect amount of fuel.
Dizzy is NOT retarded, STD timing, as i said.

I am happy with the time, thats for sure, but constructive critisism is what i want. HOWEVER i do not see somebody saying 'your engine wont last' as constructive critisism!!! maybe say why??? The setup is running beautiful, perfect fuel, timing is fine atm, no computer needed, it will run 13's all day every day how it is. So maybe instead of telling me that its not working, or wont work for long, maybe give advice on why? or how to improve? If you can do better with the same setup, id love to know how..

Its a credit to you evelelf. For all the BS on the internet, its nice to see someone actually make a simple i6 turbo setup work...and work well.

Any chance you can post up all the timeslip details i.e. 60' 330' 660' w/mph 1320' w/mph?

If you don't mind me asking, how much did the turbo setup set you back?

Well Done Mick ,,,,, Your A Bloody Legend , The Fuel System Is Standard Other Than Fuel Pump And Vortech F.m.u ,,,, We Have Many Customers With The Same Setup Running On Standard Engine For Over 3 Years Now Without Engine Failure!!! We Have Found Malpassi Not Able To Support The Fuel Required With The Standard Fuel System, We Only Use Vortech After Years Of Testing ,, Keep Clear Of The **** Factor!! Happy Boosting

Ah ok...as long as you are happy.

But dont have a go at people for giving you some advice that you probably asked for in the first place.

And who the hell still says mofo.....................................

yep, which wasnt mentioned in the origional post - Big difference.

Still skeptical about running a NA timing curve, but not as dodgy as it was made out to be. I would like to see what it will do with a good tune and a turbo grind cam.

Hey mate, thats a great time... How your running 8psi with that setup and not detonating, is beyond me.

Hey, im in the same boat, with the same setup, and on 6psi i cant drive mine over 3500 without hitting the ping(car is basically parked up now)..

Ive got a wolf ready to go in when i get some filter box sent to me, or whatever it is.

Anyhow, what is the turbos rear ratio?? .8 ? 1.06?? The reason i ask, is maybe you have a different housing to mine(GT35/40, 1.06).. If you were running the .8 ratio, could it be that you are not detonating due to the fact the timing has not been as advanced at the lower rpm then it would be if boost came on hard later in the range?? This is the only way i can see your car not pinging to the ИИИИhouse lol... Which is great for you mate.

But hey, the guys are really just trying to help ya, just like they help me out too, so no hissy fits fellas. If you are not getting enough fuel at higher rpm, your piston will "rattle" and you can say byebye to your bottom end.

But hey, whats a good conditioned motor going for, $400??? If the man likes changing motors, good on him.... I think the great thing about modifying cars os the way people do things VERY differently. This is how we learn most of the ИИИИ and how we compare.

Good on ya mate, i hope ill be running times like that after the ems is installed.

That's some good sht Mikal!

I'm really itching to get a Friday night off and run it at Calder. Heathcote's too far if something blows up. My setup's pretty similar to yours beside the head porting and diff so hopefully I run something similar!
