Peter Brocks whole Daytona program became a casualty of the Ford v Ferrari 24 hour war, a great pity as they are a gorgeous car.....

Coincidently while over in Perth last week i got to watch "Shelby American" and "The 24 Hour War" on Netflix, loads of in depth info on the Daytona's including how 3 or 4 of them nearly ended there lives been put on a barge, sent out in to the North Sea and then dumped overboard...

Saw a De Tomaso Pantera once a few years ago and sounded pretty wicked.

Pretty sure they came with a Ford V8 (might be wrong) but obviously had other work done as super loud.

Really hard to cross cylinder and block designs, but, I remember clearly as a kid standing on a corner when the E46 M3 was newish, the owner must of had a fancy exhaust because the noise from that I6 was insane.

best i have heard was a VN cmmodore on redline...
not really it was a VN 355 with 8 throttle bodies and it was a street car in my area
i loved that sound
and as far as new cars i do like the new 6.2l VF's, little bit quiet but a nice note not the the fluffy mustangs or _63 merc's

Nothing better than a worked C63 M156 with a custom exhaust, sound great when under WOT. Need to listen in real life though, like the video above video doesn't do them justice.

Loved the sound of my LS3 with mild cam and big exhaust.

Any VN-VY V6 with a big exhaust. Mang mang

The M3CSL sounded superb. Air cooled 911's sound good too.

I remember seeing one as a teenager getting canned down the street. Was one of the last air cooled ones. 993?

You'd probably appreciate this clip then. It's a 55 not a 63 but still funny

i think the old V8 supercars of the 90's sounded tuff as at full noise, especially if you were close to track with out barriers.

Gotta agree with you there. After riding in a mates modified FG 335 the noise, whine and traction system scrambling for grip was intoxicating.
Although of late I'm starting to appreciate the sound of a 3cyl under boost and high rpm.

In the mid 80's I had a XC GXL with 351 and twin sports system.

I used to lend the car to my then flat mate just so I could hear it drive up our street.

I could say that car, but then there's probably hundreds that are much sweeter

For a worked v8 this is one of the best I have ever heard on youtube

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pp8h9H6edmM

Standard car in person one of the best v8s I ever heard was a Ferrari v8 with webber carbies winding it out through the gears with manual box in mid 80's along Dandenong Road in Melbourne (I was on a pushie at time riding home after a night shift).
