"I have recently installed racing hubcaps and I would like to say I am very pleased. Not only do they look good they also improved my fuel mileage by about 2 mpg! I have ran the hubcaps for one tank so far but I think I have seen an improvement. Before I put them on my average was about 55mpg. After I put them on My millage went up to 57mpg. I finished off my tank today with 59.0mpg on the screen! Of course the temp has been in the 60s the past week but I seen the increase in 40 degree weather when my normal mileage would have been around 55mpg. When I got home from the gas station I looked at my screen and saw 74.3mpg!!! I love the warm temperatures! I cant wait for 80-100 degree heat!

I bought the hubcaps from Hubcap Mike. I bought the screw on type because the pop on type will not work on the stock prius wheels. Instead of drilling the wheels like the instructions said to do I decided to make things a lot easier by installing them on to the trim rings. This makes it a lot easier to pop them off encase you need to replace a flat or check your tire pressure. All I did was drill some holes and installed some pop rivets. The stock caps come pre drilled with 3 holes. I suggest drilling 3 more. All the holes will line up perfectly with the flat spots on the trim ring. Make sure when drilling the new holes you make your hole as far away from the outside as possible because you don't want the rivets to rest against the rim of the wheel. When everything is done your car should look like the pictures below.

I installed mud guards today and from the looks of it they wont effect my fuel millage at all. The hubcaps stick out enough to push the air around the mud guards.

Raced a motorbike to 60mph and won. But the prius does 0-60mph in like 13.7 secs.
Even a 250 FZR will get there in 10 secs with the crappest rider in the world.

i'll need you as back-up as it could get nasty surrounded by all that PRII!

"Okay, a day for crafty shopaholics and food lovers.

Meeting at the BP Service Centre, on the highway approx. 3.5 km north of Burpengary at 10 am, we will travel up the range to the beautiful villages of Montville and Maleny for a trawl through the craft and treasure shops there, before stopping to refuel (us, not the cars) at a highly recommended French Restaurant near Maleny.
Lunch has been booked for around 12.30, and numbers are required by Wednesday 18th if you will be coming. "

Are these guys seriously so dumb !? It frustrates me to read this crap haha. A stock VN V6 commodore would probably eat those cars.

- Charge the battery to full by holding the gas and brake all the way down till the engine shuts off.

- Launch the car in "B" mode because it will pre-load the engine to "launch"

- Of course try to have as little fuel as possible

I think I should be able to hit somewhere in the mid 17 second range. (hopefully) which is actually not bad.

hands down the best comment on that page is in Rogerfan's signature

Gutted cat, external wastegate not plumbed back, 3 inch exhaust dumping before diff, aftermarket ecu, 550cc injectors and all emissions gear removed. My car negates the green benifits of all your hybrids on it's own. The environment is going down.

Picture me, sitting on the back deck of my fibro and asbestos beach house, sinking tinnies and smoking a cigar - eagerly awaiting the onset of global warming for the best Australian summer yet.

i just love the prius queensland front page has all their "prii" in front of a winery.
just shows the sort of people that buy them.
and the fact they go cruising to go to antique stores and french restaurants.

omg, 'how do you get the screw in' lol. Hey these things cause huge environmental damage through the manufacture process and disposal, way above the normal for a regular car. In the end they pretty much break even.

I keep getting "Server Not Found" when I'm trying any of the links there now :(

Also, I should apologise to all of you for my signing up and blatant spam on the prius chat last night, I was a bit drunk and it doesn't really reflect the best on us as a community for me to have done it and post links to it in here.

That's just the thing though, these prius shitboxes are more environmentally damaging than any V8; in their diposal methods of the batteries. The batteries themselves are the nickel cadmium variety, and they take thousands of years to break down. Then there's the leaching of ground water affected by the batteries and the results it has on anything in contact with it, as well as the soil it is buried in. Furthermore, these ****y cars require the batteries to be replaced every 60,000klm, which typically means that they will pollute massively 3-4 timese each within their lives. Lead acid batteries are actually deconstructed before disposal, and are mostly recyclable. Nickel Cadmium are not. Remember, these are the same tools that told us mobile phone batteries were poisoning the planet, but now it's OK because their Prii have the same. Pity the Prius battery is around 2000 times larger than a mobile phone battery and 2000 times more of a pollutant. I think their website deserves its own "smell you own farts" section as per south park.
If not for that, they atleast need to see the top gear prius test.
