Were the fans that watched told? Results matter in this event due to people paying for it. If this is only the thing that went wrong on the day well thats good. But as a spectator you want to c results that are correct. Wouldnt u?

It makes me grin that the dyno can be changed to the results the operator wants. Makes u think doesn't it?

Smile Dyno

Hi Guys Walter From Djr Performance Just Like To Say A Few Things In Regauds To The Dyno Fault On Sunday The Fault Was A Blown Resistor The Fault Caused A Very Low Reading After Testing Our Cars Knowing What Power They Make We Came To A Conclusion We Were Down 100 Kw .but As Both Our Car Were Making Over 300 Rwkws And Our Test Runs Were Down 100kw But It Seams It Was A % Out Knot Just A Flat Figure So Most Of The High Power Cars Were Very Close To The 100kw Down But The Lower Power Cars Ie The Swift Were Not Out Buy The 100 Kw But As Every Entrent Was Given The Same Disadvantage Or Advantage For The Point Of The Comp I Think The Right People Won The Right Catagrys.the Only Other Option On The Day Was No Dyno Comp .any One That Run There Car On The Day Is Invted To Atend The Work Shop For A Free Rerun With A Print Out .we Have All The Rego Nimbers On File .the Swift Is Coming In Tomorrow

As stated, True and accurate readings are what people like to see. I hope you extend that offer to all the other clubs to make there members aware of the free run. It is good to see that it has been offered. But My opinion money shouldnt've been exchanged for the event if it was out.

Both club and operator must put a process in for this not to happen again. To protect the members and fans going to watch. Faults happen and we need to protect the club. Gordon might want to look at this.

everyone was told competitors as well as spectators....
and no-one changed the actual reading on the dyno, the 100kw was added verbally, and no print outs were given...and all were offered re-runs not just our club members...

Smile dyno

yeh mate your right every entrent on the day was offered to attend our work shop for the rerun the only other option on the day was to close the event .so we asked the entrents what they wanted to do at the point of sign up and everyone that entered was fully awear of the problem and entered knowing the reading were not a true and accurate reading .but an comparison of one car to another.

Thanks for clearing that up Walter I thought that may have been the case and would explain the smaller cars getting larger numbers than expected. This is why I questioned it. I figured it would have to be a % rather than 100kw otherwise anything under 100kw would have to, have read as a minus. As you say the results were fair as far as the competion went, due to the same playing field. I just wanted to try and make sense of it all, if not for myself, for others so they don't think they have huge Hp when they don't. Thankyou for you and your staffs effort on the day Walter, it is appreciated.

Clearly Thunderoo you only have half the facts about the dyno and may need to look at what you say on an internet forum also, maybe make a phone call... I never thought a simple question could get peoples backs up so much seems like it has snowballed a little, anyhow thanks

Thankz for your openness Walter. It seams not all the fact have been put forward by sum. i thank you for it. The club is what needs to be protected, and the publics view on the club Not some people's pride. It is a shame we have to hear about it on here.

Cheers

I think you have missunderstood in my post, i have never got my back up in any of your posts, as every time posts went in here i was on the phone to Walter from DJR (as Walter is a very good personal friend of mine), and he can confirm all of this. That is why i asked him to step in here. What gets my back up is posts from people that didnt even go to the show and making assumptions on what should have been done and what not done. On the day the 3 clubs made the right decisions and everybody involved on the day knew exactly what was going on. I cant believe it has come to this from very sucessfull day.

You didn't state the facts Gordon. If you had to ring walter to back your claim i am very sorry you had to go that way. If you refer to me about not going i can only say this, With my current arrnagement i am unable to go to events and for another show and shine i choose which ones i support.

Walter stated the facts and you didn't, read your posts and look at what tone it was said. IAM58L stated his opinion, value it and look at what facts he had. The show wasn't bashed like u want us to believed. Take a breathe.

And after the fault was made why did u keep charging them?

This dyno is all some people could afford. People going home would be either happy or sad about there result, but both ways they have not accurate result for on the day. Bearing in mind the dyno is ONLY a tuning tool. I would like to know the result of the questions raised by the member published.

The opinion gordon wasnt about the show. it was about the facts. You didnt disclose the fact it wasnt running right. You altered the results. If you did that at any comp you would be laughed at e.g summernats, national dyno comp etc. This is a public forum Gordon at because we have no other forum to ask questions we use this. But it isnt about how good the event is but how acurate ( spelling) it is. I hope this doesnt lead down the track that the dyno was fudged to make numbers?
Brian
That was said before asking any questions ???

Okay then fair enough I don't doubt it that you were on the phone to him ( I really Don't care), was quite entertaining to watch the list of members viewing this thread grow as it went on. Clearly you are refering to bcr2734 and his posts.

As far as this comming from the day, all i wanted was info in regards to if the figures provided were correct as some were in doubt. I really didn't think it was so hard to answer but clearly it was maybe it was the confusion over it which has been cleared up. The swift is going back tomorrow, so that solves that I guess. It makes me laugh how fast things get out of hand and turn into a competion on these forums such as people always trying to have the last word on everything.
My question had no malicious intent to it at all and I want to make that clear.
Anyhow once again congrats on a great show and I c.b.f. getting involved in this ********** fight any further than I already am.
