Even if my EB was still the daily I'd be happy as well. The Falcon has always been a great car for all demographics. Just do little things to the FG when you get the modification bug, like rims, coil-overs or lowered springs, exhaust etc. Those kind of mods don't really break the bank. Dad's old XF wagon got up to 480,000 kms, then started to run on about 3 cylinders then kicked the bucket soon after , was a great car! |

Just to add to the "treat it right & it will treat you right" sentiment, my NCII is closing in on 403,000. Still goes well, & I've had it since 196. Don't thrash it, sure clean the cobwebs out now & then & she will go fine.
Although. A little advice. Just remember you won't get your money back from what you put into the car. All they do is add value for the next owner who gets it. Cars are money pits. But it is your money. If your planning to hold into the car for awhile, then go for it. For me it doesn't matter. I will never sell my car. So all the improvements will stay with me.

I would say ok to do mods. But its not "new" as many suggest. Id say its about 40% useful life remaining until you gotta expect increased maintenence costs. Not an exact science but generally speaking it should be very reliable before 200,000km.
