What do stock 8's run? Mid to high 14's? Dunno.

Tuf, I've never been down the strip myself, in the xr6 or the xr8. Too scared I I'll break something or too scared that I'll be hooked on it !!!

Yeah, Jas is gonna crack 14.3 tis time out... I can feel it.

Will be interesting to watch, I am prob going to do 3-4 runs (hopefully) down quater and then just watch the rest of the night lol. Should be good fun though. Just remember as you come in you should see my car parked up to the right its a mercury silver ba xt, I will have my bonnet open . Park up next to me, when everyone rocks up - don't rock up later than 5:15pm :P so I can get some pictures hopefully camera works alright lol.

If i can finish work early enough on Saturday ill be coming for sure. i drive a 6 speed manual stock as a rock XR8 and its gonna be my first time at the drags so im pretty nervous ahaha....hope i dont stall it at the lights lol

It depends on how i am after friday. We are going to stop drinking whilst we're are training, so we are going to drink 5months worth over one weekend. I'm sorry but it's the only logical thing to do .

its gonna be 2 amateur's in stock manual white XR8s ha ha.and your from sunny coast aswell?..except u got one more gear.....meaning u'll beat me....lol

are we supposed to use traction control?or would that slow you down?coz i think ill struggle bad for traction, it struggles with traction on, my tyres arent the best.....lol

Turn traction control off. I dropped .4 doing that.

If you know how to launch a manual well and can shift extremely fast you could probably run a 14.00 in the right conditions. Normally there isn't a big difference between the two. The manual benefits from a shorter first gear ratio but the auto can upshift faster.
