Its totally about my plan! You totally twisted what i said in hopes of starting something,so basically your clarifying something you made up in your head... FFS you are trying to compare lancer evo to all falcons full stop, when did i even mention that? Ive owned a lancer and an fg ute and "I" preferred the lancer, its not a comparison between evo and falcon, its just my personal opinion on both of the cars i have actually owned, unlike yourself. Ive never owned an evo. This thread is about my plan and based on my personal experience with both cars i mentioned, not what you think about my plan and a comparison you feel you need to mention which has nothing to do with this thread. |

Im gonna restore a 3.2l CFi EA falcon Gl and stockpile head gaskets.
Nah, not really. The newest Falcon I've owned recently was an 01 AU and that was 8 yr old when I bought it so I should be good til 2024 at least lol. In the meantime, im struggling with the voices inside my head that want a low k, BF2 ghia for the weekends. |

Depending on how the build quality is, a Mustang would be a nice addition. The dual cab ute is really the optimal daily driver for me and my situation nowadays not a Falcon, and I've got the effy to play with.

I hadn’t thought about what I’ll buy and won’t until it happens and see what’s on offer.
I do believe there will still be desirable performance cars available and if they’re not Ford and GM imports then at least from other manufacturers. The only change I see is being forced to buy imports instead of local iron. As sad as the loss is, I'll worry about it later. . |

I'm thinking I 'may' go Mustang but in all likelihood I will go BMW. 4 door large sports sedans are what I want. If Ford don't made that available I will not sick by the brand. I've realized that I am a Falcon man not a Ford man since Falcon was announced it will be axed.
So European is likely to be in my driveway in the future. Having said that my phoon will most likely stay.

Keep my FG until it is beyond economical repair. When the time comes to replace it look at what is on the market in my budget.

I'm not a fan of owning really new cars, they just have more problems that are going to arise in the future.

Nissan.
and seek a 70's falcon to restore. Failing that, keep something like a TE50 or turbo 6.

OMG, i can hear violins...
Ill just buy a Thailand built diesel ute, just like every man and his dog has for the last decade. I would have "made do" with a commo omega or SV6 ute but they dont do them on LPG from the VF update DAFT!!!!

My plan? Every morning, check pulse, look in paper for my funeral notice. Pulse and no notice? Enjoy the day and my Ranger. Seriously though, life will continue. We will find another Ford or Ho Ho Holden to buy.

I said id go ricer but ive always loved the look of vw golf gti,one of those would be sweet or a golf r(i think thats what they are) or r32 golf
Just sounds like a golf And i agree about the new jags, they are damn sexy. Plenty out there without the blue oval badge to chose from,im sure spare parts will still be getting made for a while yet so my 2 fords will go on for a bit So yeah,vw golf, lancer, jag,i would have loved a e3 gts in white toothe list goes on for me i like heaps of different types of automobiles |

I plan to fit a flux capacitor to my XD falcon, get it up to 88 miles per hour and go back to 1960 and relive 56yrs of Ford (and GM) glory before I die.

This is post 2016,
If all goes well, Terry replacement is RRS. If goes really well, Supercharged V8 RRS New Jags are beautiful, and they have a mid sizer RWD on the way, but a wagon AWD body is more practical. Comfortable around town car/fun driver - maybe a Golf GTi? Hatchback so it fits my shortboards as well as the shopping run. Keep my classic Aussie Fords. Good question Rodge - in reflection one thing I loved about Australian Fords was their handling was pretty good for what they are, and life is too short to have a car that isn't fun to drive... |
