My wife just got home from shopping and there are entire isles left bare!
What the hell is wrong with people? It's a pity this virus is transmitted by fear because it would be the perfect opportunity to rid the planet of stupidity! |

I guess in some sort of contorted way it's good that tourism is down.
What are hotels and other public places with toilets going to do? Sure, they will have a bit in storage but I don't see a 400 room hotel having a 2 or 3 week reserve?

I'm waiting for someone to claim that the virus was spread via Chemtrails to reduce the aged population as they are most at risk

My theory re the toilet paper panic buying is people anticipating lockdown in their homes so stocking up. But why so much toilet paper?

Don’t they realise, if they don’t buy food they won’t need toilet paper

Ok,
Just got back from the supermarket. Aldi, Coles, Woolies had no toilet paper, paper rolls, rice, pasta and paracetamol. At Coles there was a mob of around 30 shoppers all eagerly waiting for the toilet paper to come out. Wouldn't dare take a picture, there was a lot of people on edge. Got everything I needed bar the pasta. Stopped at my local IGA on the way home and they were fully stocked with pasta! No lines, no agro. They also had some toilet paper, but not much. So, try your local IGA for stuff that is missing from the other stores. Don't forget, places like Officeworks, K-mart, Big-W and possibly Target sell toilet paper.

No shortages out here in the country must be a city thing. Sounds like your panicking yourself. Its a pity people didn't shop at IGA all the time instead of just when the 3 other under cutters run out of stuff.

Just went out for dinner, those Asian reject shops have their big 48 roll slabs aplenty.
Not the best quality but beats gum leaves or the Herald... Sent from my LG-M700 using Tapatalk

I was worried I would not be able to get groceries last night but luckily I had no issue.
So I thought I would go for a stroll down the bog roll aisle to check it out and it was absolutely cleared out. **** me we're going backwards at a rate of knots in the common sense department here. Though I saw this interview https://videos.dailymail.co.uk/video...8595290390.mp4 and maybe we are not totally lost yet. Funnily enough the Daily Mail that the link is from could be bog roll substitute |

Society in general is so selfish these days. That's all it boils down to. Can't think beyond their own precious little bubble.
Some families live basically hand to mouth. They can't afford to go stock piling, they just need their weekly amount. Thanks to the selfish morons they now have to struggle even more. Rationing may not be fool proof but at least it's something.

I used to tell my Asian friends that Aussies actually cared about their mates when I was living overseas. Now I've come back I'm ashamed to say we are as bad as the rest of the world.
Sickening really.

#BREAKING NEWS# This just in. A story has been trending on Chinese social media and will soon be confirmed by the WHO and National Governments, including Australia. Major landscape gardening projects will be the next to be impacted by COVID-19 (Coronavirus). Earlier today Australian Prime Minister, Scott Morrison would not be drawn on rumours major landscape gardening projects would soon become unavailable, except to say, "How good are major landscape gardening projects?" For FordForums.com.au members only my business is able to offer a limited number of major landscape gardening projects. Please do not delay! The first ten, $50000+ contracts signed and paid for (Cash or Pay Pal), will insure those members will not miss out. Do not want to spend the whole of your quarantine period peering out through a gap in your; toilet paper, rice, flour and tinned bean stock pile at a dated landscape? PM me now for my special price!

I can't believe some Australians can be so ****ing stupid. It is a flu NOT the Bubonic Plague or even gastro - 2 weeks and a reasonably healthy person is over it, like all flu's
WTF???? is the hording of toilet paper - I wonder if at the end of it they will look at the stockpile they have and question their own sanity?

Someone on FB said that the stock price of toilet paper manufacturers has improved greatly. Anyone into the stock exchange can verify this?
