i don,t support either side of the climate change argument. there are so many "experts " that argue for either side, and i simply don,t know who to believe, and then there's people playing politics with it. and the media bs.
personal i think the earth has cycles of heating and cooling. watch this 40 second vidoe in 1945 of hawkesbury river in drought . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6gNXrRGKlxs if this happen today, could you image the fracas the greenies would cause? but that said, man isn,t helping himself by, striping brazil rainforest and others, people being mass consumers and a throw away society, built in obsolescence , over population and corrupt politicians. just obvious things i,ve noticed. |

i do think we should go back to horse and cart. if you rode your horse, you would have one horsepower. if driving a cart , maybe 2hp. a chariot, up to 4hp. we could have chariot races. the Amish are on to something.

Good, crisis averted then. I was worried because I had read some facts but no need to worry now because the posterchild has FAS.
Before that I still had a prophet that was a child and seemed believable. FFS lumen8 get a grip, it was still a child in the first place! And imo definitely on the autism spectrum. You disgust me with that crap. People don't want to believe because it might affect them. Fine, most of us here will die before major effects. If you want to be selfish and die thinking your grandchildren won't die from starvation, fire or thirst, that's on you - your own selfish desires in death - no one cares, so get out of the way and don't obstruct. That's all most are asking from the old and dumb. Last edited by oldel; 19-06-2021 at 02:08 AM. |

I think we should focus on what we need to do to prepare for when temps rise. e.g. what are we going to do to help our pacific islander neighbours, moreso than what are we going to do when the beach front houses get washed up. Also, what will happen to food source etc.

There is land subsidence to consider also, this can make it appear as though sea levels are rising in some places, when it actually isnt, it is the land sinking.
Here is a snippet from the link below, it goes into it deeper on the site when you press 'more' on the other end of that link. "Sea level measured relative to land is called “relative” sea level. In coastal areas, sinking land, known as subsidence, leads to higher sea-level and increased flood risk. In contrast, uplifting land reduces sea level and promotes the seaward migration of coastlines. Together, subsidence and uplift are referred to as vertical land motion, or VLM, and usually occur at rates of a few millimeters per year. While this may seem small, it can be a substantial portion of sea-level change and cause incalculable damage, as seen strikingly in Venice, Italy." https://sealevel.nasa.gov/understand...vel/subsidence |

I agree with people talking about overpopulation.
Ignore the whole pollution part, we can't keep increasing the population at the current rate and expect to have adequate food and water. There is very little talk about overpopulation. All you have to do is look at the regions of the world that have the highest birthrates and see why most are quiet on it. It would be seen as racist to try to stop over population. |

The Nouveau-Hippies love to throw around the term "fascist." But what they forget is that the worst Fascist regimes in history, have all been Socialist.
The fundamental difference between a Conservative and a Socialist, is that when a Conservative decides to become Vegan, he stops eating meat. When a Socialist becomes Vegan, they try to stop everyone else eating meat. It's rather pathetic that the whole agenda is being driven by fundamentally useless people with no purpose to their lives. They seek to give themselves "meaning" by dictating to the rest of us how we should live. And what really ****es me off, is the way the swan about wasting billions on recolouring rubbish bins, focussing on the mythology of carbon emissions, but don't give a toss about actual environmental pollution. Their big complaint against plastics is that they don't break down in the environment... ummm, hello??? anybody home??? Yes, plastic garbage is unsightly, and we really should encourage developing nations to stop dumping their trash in the ocean. But by definition, it's not actually polluting the oceans. The real problem is all the other crap that finds its way into the rivers and oceans, that IS actually polluting and finding it's way into the biosphere. Atmospheric CO2 is a literal non-issue. If there is going to be a CO2 problem, it will be in the oceans, along with all the other atmospheric crap that ultimately rains into the waterways. A lot of the worlds rivers, lakes, and seas, are now toxic ****holes, and there are already many ocean beaches where you shouldn't swim due to toxins, bacteria, and viruses. |

Al Gore. Writes in a book if we don't change soon half the world will be under water in the next ten years.
11 years later he's still writing books and worth over 300 million and flying around in Jets. |

By the time AOCs deadline is up and nothing has changed apart from increased government taxes and reduced personal freedom under the guise of climate change, the climate doomers will have devised more silencing words once the terms denier and conspiracy theorist have lost their intended effect. Heres some more settled science for those conspiracy theorists and deniers to dwell over. https://www.aei.org/carpe-diem/50-ye...erts-are-0-50/ |

The cause of rising sea levels? Look no further.....
"An average of 1,390 containers have been lost at sea each year over the past three years, according to a new survey of the world’s ocean carriers by the World Shipping Council." https://gcaptain.com/number-of-conta...-survey-shows/
