First disallowed try was a crock. NSW can take away alot from this game i think. But QLD played the full 80mins whereas NSW probably played 60

NSW played terribly but still QLD didn't smash them as hard as I thought they were going to. NSW could have easily evened it up but oh wells.

: NSW played well ya dingbat, most any other team on the planet would of had 40 points to catch.
It will be hard to beat them in Sydney as they'll be a better outfit for this hit out.

These refs must be blind. That first try was clearly a try - on the reverse camera angle you could see green in between his boot and the white line.

Terrible decision - touch judge was on the spot and should have just made a call, these video refs take forever and still stuff everything up. At least if it was an on the spot call you could forgive them due to the speed at which it all happens.

He was on the line but should of been given the try,the try with the forward pass to me was no try so it evens out.
Strong defensive line from QLD though.
Next game will be a cracker.

One may discern whether it was in or out based on the angle from which it is observed.

You are looking from NSW so therefore will always be incorrect and complain about it ad nauseum whereas we are looking from QLD and as such are always accurate, correct and will accecpt this victory with humility and grace as usual.

It is an axiom.....

I'm a NSW fan but QLD will beat them in Sydney and here's why...

NSW selectors will change 90% of the team as they always do.
Expect to an almost entirely different NSW side in Sydney.

Queensland will win.

NSW needs players like Michael Ennis.

Opposition supporters might not like him but if he's in your team you love him.

He is just the type of player needed for Origin.

He has played really well all year. In the city/country game he might have been slightly outplayed but ne did not have the players around him to make his passes etc look good and his opponent did have that luxury to make him look good.

NSW will lose until they grasp this and appoint pleyers suited for origin

Well thats my opinion anyway!

Good call Walt about Michael Ennis, he should be in the team as well as Brett Kimmorley, but I'll be happy they didn't pick them.

I better come clean!

I'm biased!

He's my Nephew in law and a really nice bloke.

But I meant what I said.

He's got that mongrel on the field that is needed in Origin.

Got to agree guys about Ennis and even Noddy. I would even go as far to replace Lyon with Cooper.

Go the Blues even though I think QLD will win.

i vote we should use radical genetic engineering to give wally lewis a new body and return him to the field.

Truely I cant enjoy league without him, Mal or alfie on the field anymore.

While the basic Ford Six was code named Barra, the Turbo version clearly deserved its very own moniker – again enter Gordon Barfield.
We asked him if the engine had actually been called “Seagull” and how that came about.
“Actually it was just call “Gull”, because I named it that. Because we knew it was going to poo on everything”.

Queersland had a well deserved victory in the first game, but it certainly wasn't a one-horse race. The game could have gone either way... in saying that, the Blues disruption to their team hasn't done them any favours. Had it stayed the same then I would have been confident in saying the Blues would win game two.

Anyway, I hope the toads get smashed.

Did I just hear the news right?

NSW is ALLEGEDLY going to start without a Hooker in case our current Hooker is not OK to start the game - ie not up to the tough 10 first minutes.

Or was it a furphy by a desperate journo hoping to put Qld off - as if that would work.

I hope for NSW's sake it was a mis-report by a desperate journo and I hope our Hooker is 100%

Why go into such a game with a possible injured player when there is an obvious solution

Put Ennis IN as Hooker. He will not be following the play. He will make things happen and be in tbe tough stuff like a pig in mud from the first second

NSW lately reminds me of the days when we used to lose year in year out with Elias as Hooker and mad dog Fenech sitting there waiting for a call up.

Fenech had the toughness which shines in Origin.

So does Michael Ennis.

That was shocking, atrocious and very disappointing.

The amount of fundamental and stupid errors by the Blues were an absolute joke. Sorry to say, but as much as this Qld team is haled as a great side, it was the nonprofessional display of the Blues that lost them the game.

Well done to Jarrod Haine, should be proud of himself.

And well done to Qld for the well deserved record victory. They were very courageous and showed a lot of guts when I really thought the Blues would take the game in the last 20.

Fenech had the toughness which shines in Origin.

So does Michael Ennis.
Farah had a shocking game, all his passing was ridiculous. His poor performance is what I think lost it for the Blues.

How on earth could he get through the fitness tests if he was injured?? More so, his position as hooker and dummy half would have been affected seriously with the type of injury he had.

Ennis should have been there from the start; you can tell the form of a player from how well his team is going.

As much as "looking for the future" is important I think the (future) NSW selectors should learn a lesson from this series; Always pick on form, and not who you think would/should/could be there in the future... on that note, and in hindsight, they should have built this year's team around Noddy, Ennis, and Soward.

I dont think QLD are as great as the history books will show. They beat a team tonight who beat themselves. NSW could have won the game at any stage, much like the 1st game.

Congrats to QLD, but if they think they have this origin thing sorted the next 3 years will be a very upsetting time for them all.

I have no idea how Wallace is a better origin player than Kimmorley. It was one pass, GET OVER IT! If Bowen didn't intercept it NSW would have won the game.

I have no idea what Soward has to do to get a jumper.

Ennis has been playing great footy and he deserved a chance. We love a pest in origin.

As said above, pick on form not on the future or a "maybe".

Dont put the kibosh on Williams or Farrah. They are good players who will learn from there mistakes. Haine did, Hodges did, they will too.

So frustrating to see a good group of players not win when they have so much talent and the ability too win.

It's Origin, it doesn't matter how much they win by or how they do it. QLD knew how to capitalise on the opposition mistakes and NSW didn't. You're right though, NSW could have won it at any stage in the last 30mins and they couldn't pull it off. As Gould has says in the last few games, we have the origin mentality and NSW not so much....

Dunno what game you were watching but the one i saw was the worst performance from a NSW side i have ever seen, the only reason it was there for the taking in the second half was due to the refs.

Origin always goes in cycles. It is our time at the moment, like it was up to the mid 80s, then like it was NSW's time in the early '90s and then the late '90s with Daly & Stuart and then Johns & co.

At the end of the day, QLD came back when they shouldn't have, and NSW were not up to the task of finishing off a wounded QLD side. End of story.

Now I am off to stir my NSW friends. :
