Most obscure Utes built in Australia?

I don't believe that many other countries got to see these cars.

Also, I'm not 100% certain but I think that the Datsun 1200 ute was a full import.

Hi. The zephyr MK1 ute never made it into production ( may have been 3 made at Geelong late in the MK1 production run as a concept for the MK2). The consul and zephyr MK2 utes were only made in australia and the Aussie MK2 station wagon was the only one made in house, the english ones were sent to specialist coach builders to be turned into wagons. By sheer coincidence, I literally saw this today. At first glance it's just an XF ute... from talking to its owner he's of the opinion there was 115 of these "made"

I was told by an old Used Car Dealer that back in the day he traded a few of the Nissan XFN utes, but they were never quick to sell. So he changed the badges back to Ford and they sold. Said that a lot of dealers did the same thing. So who really knows how many are still around.

If changing the badges is all it took then that says more about the buyers than the utes.

A mate of mine owns the very first right-hand drive Nissan 1000 ute sold. The first left-hand drive one they sold is in their museum.
