hokay lads..
heres one to get the ball rolling!
9.24.918...
i did this in the tune mode of the garage so standing start.
best line was on, but no abs stm or tc..
i'll try one later with no best line because i'd imagine not many ppl use it!
no mods from the engine section but maxed everything from the handling section..

post em times up!!

PS
i think it'll be better if we all use the hot lap with the rolling start, so i'll do that from now on!

Yeah Forza 2, looks the goods.

I hope they have a larger amount of cars and a better variety, because I got sick of buying the same cars over and over and almost drove every car in the game, the first 2 months of having it.

I haven't even driven 50% of the cars on GT4, which is where I think GT4 is stronger than Forza.

Challenge is set...

Nurburgring in the 2005 Ford Mustang, no mods.

I run with best line on (helps as a braking marker), so do it with best line on.

Current best is 9:24.918 by XR06T

no mods only for the engine, knock yourself out on the handling side!
i played for a few more hours last night without best line and hooked a 9.24.234.. thats with about 5 secs penalty for bailing off the track :

The key is the launch, not everone is the same, and the suspension set up, and diff ratio, we spent hours playing with it, i replicated the 8.978 a few times, but he couldnt replicate the 8.2, couldnt get the launch right again. If i still had an Xbox, id be in this in a second, i love forza, heaps better than GT4, i cant play GT4 now, cant corner or brake. The triggers on the xbox controller are heaps better than the PS2 controller

Had a quick burn last night.

2005 Ford Mustang GT, full handling mods, no engine mods, best line.

9:40.817

That was the standing start lap, with 17 seconds added through penaltys (was pushing it). I didn't get a flying lap in, roughly halfway round put both rear wheels off and 100% throttle + grass + turning back onto track = hitting the wall...

it'd be hard for sure.. i've set mine up to stick to the track on the fast turns so it hurts at other parts of the track..
my top speed was 259btw, maxxed out in 5th!!

Bloody hell - more practice required by me I think. I gave it a bash last night when I got home and did a 10:40-ish on lap 1, followed by a 10:20. After that I got the ****'s and gave up for the night. It's been a while since I've played Forza though, and Nurburgring is a tough track.

The Mrs is away this weekend, so I might devote a day to Forza on Sunday.

it took me prolly 8 laps just to get a tune that would get the thing to stick mid corner and on the exit!!
i've devoted a few weeks to finishing the game so i spose i have a bit of an advantage :Reverend:

I just put on the highest handling mods and winged it.

Best line helps me as a braking marker, otherwise I would be getting 10 minute laps. I know where I can brake early and brake late, and some I go through full throttle...

hey, has anyone noticed that when drag racing, if you have the rear tyres at a low psi, you get slower times, and worse traction than when you mzx psi them?
