Yehaaaaaaaw!! :Reverend:

It's 1 of 7 manuals in New Zealand. Liquid Silver, charcoal/black interior, 5-speed with 36,000kms on the clock. To say I'm over the moon is an understatement. It has some minor mods and is pushing around 225kws at the rear wheels (dyno sheets came with the car). The engine cover was signed last year by Wincup, Bell and Lowndes. It's exhaust isn't stock and man, what a sound, honestly like a V8 super car.....the back fire and rumbles down changing made stains in my pants (not from pee or poo). : The car is as straight as can be, perfect, like new, I can't spot one fault apart from a few little scratches on the front of the engine cover and that's it, honestly!

Anyhow, tonight's it's first night up the drive. I'm going to have a look to see what the build number is and I'll post it up here and if it's not registered on the Aussie site I'll register it.....I'll be getting up around 5:30am tomorrow and going for a good 3-4 hour blat up country!

The taillights are now stock, the photos show the previous owners altezza style lights, I asked for the originals to be put back on, much better IMO.
Photos are from the previous owner, nothing scenic but better than nothing.

:eclipsee_

Cheers,
Carl

Well done Carl, looks like a great example T3! Nice low kays, manual and do i see brembo's as well? Don't be concerned about the extra five g's. I'd paid five g's more than i planned but i got the car, colour and klms i was chasing (28klms). I'm also not a fan of those rear lights. :

I know this has been discussed before but can someone explain why we are seeing some momo wheels with grey hand grips with black air bag centre and vice versa? My ts has black hand grips and black airbag centre.

Thanks Noddy, you're a lucky man yourself, two!? T-Series!!
Yes, you see right, was optioned with the Brembos and premium sound.

Don't take too much into the steering wheel, the flash didn't help much.
Thanks once again everyone.....I can't sleep, it's 1:29am in Nu Zuland.....

Oh, I need to make a correction too.....I actually found the car and called the owner 2 days after starting my search, it took less than a week for the money to clear and be in the drive.

nice pick up mate- you'll find alot of info here that will suit you whether you are a purist or mod-inclined (like me)

Beautiful car- there will certainly be the jealous ones on here, hell I'm one of them, can't beat that feeling of going for one of your first drives in a T3............

No doubt we'll see you around!

The warm Charcoal interiors scored grey inserts for the wheel and gear knob as did the coloured interiors get their relevant colour highlights to these areas

Is that what you meant Matt?

I have never seen a T(3) with black hand grips........

nzts50 could be right, in may be the flash of the camera that changes the appearance of the wheel. Now that ive had a second look at my ts it is a dark grey. :togo: I don't drive it enough and i have blue inserts in my car.

Can see you are over the moon with your car, such nice low k's and such good specs.

Looks like a lot of fun. Let us know when you finally stop grinning and looking out the window at her.

Momo - I'm not sure, I'll have another look but couldn't see the logo? I'm after the round/ball shifter style.

The Black and Grey knobs that have momo stamped on them. But if you want to change it I will take the black and grey one off your hands!

That's one very sweet ride there mate. You couldn't ask for anything else in a ford really. Just on another note, those mopars in your shed sound pretty fine too (nothing like big block grunt eh!) How about posting some pictures of them too?
Enjoy your new car!

Thanks mate, Yupe I love my Mopars too.....I'm not one to bag other makes, though I would never spend money on a Holden or Chev but I do respect & appreciate some of their models. Mopars are first for me, I won't lie but Fords are a close second, love them the same really.

You asked for photos so you'll get 'em! : Here are some photos of my 1970 Challenger R/T, '73 Plymouth 'Cuda and my daily driven Jeep Cherokee Sport dressed in stealth/army - all black.

Cheers,
Carl

Forgot to mention, you can hear the Challenger running here:

http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...num+challenger

It's just idle, I tried to get my Dad to get me revving it but he didn't know how to use it. lol All I got were feet. I said I'd turn my lights on/off and he should start taping. I turn my lights on/off, rev, rev etc turn off. I asked him if he got it OK....he said "what?" I didn't see the lights. : :

Anyhow, so I ended up doing it myself....I don't like, well, not like/hate, but it looks bloody madbill with the videos where you see feet going to and from the car and picking it up and turning it on/off etc so just held it and let the car idle.

it:

Jeez you have some nice cars at your age.

Good work mate.

Some of the momo knobs don't have it stamped in them ( I think my old grey/black one like yours didn't either).

You can tell the difference between the standard ones's tho.

Thanks mate, I was lucky and had my first car purchased for me. After that, hard work and trading up at the right time and selling at the right time leaves money left over for the next purchase, keep playing the market right and you win every time. During the restoration of my Challenger I had to take a loan from Mum & Dad but it was that or the bank, no interest with Mum or Dad and they know I'm good to pay them back. Apart from that, mod cars nicely and sell on, like buying and renovating houses accept cars.

Oh, I also sell TVs, videos, fridges you name it from the back of trucks for a higher boss. LOL j/k

Mine doesn't have MoMo stamped in it either. So, is mine the standard or upgraded one?

Cheers,
Carl

Wow! That challenger is a weapon! Nice resto. Is it a stock 440 or the 6 barrel? It must hammer along with either option. Show us some pics of the engine please.

Thanks guys.

I like Vanishing Point and it had a little to do with colour but I also like white. It's not a replica as there are many little items on the movie car that I didn't want or like (only mopar freaks would know) like the single mirror, bumper guards etc etc Plus it's a 6-Speed auto where-as the VP car was a 4-Speed.

The Challenger retains it's numbers matching 440ci Magnum (4bbl). It's a real hot cruiser with grunt to match, loaded with goodies for it's era. Power windows, power brakes, power steering, A/C etc etc

Photos - (1) Challenger, (2) 'Cuda.
